presentation of the R 1150 GS ADVENTURE 2005
you like the R 1150 GS but you're hesitant - not enough of an adventurer... No problem. BM has thought of those nostalgic for the Dakar Replica versions of its trails, and has concocted this Adventure for us. What about this bike?
Basically, a GS that has had its suspension upgraded, lost the seat height adjustment, shortened its gearbox (1st gear even shorter as an option), fitted with an engine management system that allows lower octane fuels to be used, and a fine array of options for venturing as far as Vladivostok.
it can be fitted with a 30 L fuel tank, very adventurous aluminium suitcases and top-case, GPS, sturdy cylinder guards, etc... Spoked rims are fitted with mixed-profile tires. While they're great for cruising on trails, don't expect too much from them on asphalt roads. If you only want to ride on asphalt, you'll have to opt for a different type of tire, and enjoy the GS's superb comfort. The engine is available and smooth, and the machine holds the road well. Watch out for the weight, though. Consequently, it doesn't invite the bike into town. And for those of you who like to take the low road, proceed with caution and care - a 300 kg trail bike can't be handled and, above all, it can't be caught like a single-track trail bike.

Bikers' reviews Leave a review - 8 reviews
Well, I've got an adventure bike, and I'm crazy about it. This bike goes like a charm, I handle it like a bike even in town (I come from a goldwing 1500), it holds the road, has peche (K&N filter, Viré catalitique and pot Laser) and moreover does not consume more than 6 liters. For me, it's a machine I wouldn't want to part with. I love it. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Alexbiker
