presentation of the 250 RS 1995

gSX-R, CBR, ZX-R, Replica... all these names leave you cold, and with good reason. What interests you is the track, the smell of 2-stroke, the imprint of the 2-and-a-half category. Look no further, here's your muse: Aprilia's 250 RS. It's all set up for you to slam the stopwatch and win the championship like O.J. in his glory days. On the menu, performance, thrills and racing ingredients: a rigid aluminum-beam chassis, a 2-stroke V-twin (from the Suzuki 250 RGV), Showa suspension with adjustable preload, compression and rebound damping. Compared to the previous generation, the bike has improved its electronic management, its fuel tank has grown by 3 litres, and its rear rim has widened from 3 to 3.5 inches. Don't compromise, ride it. The bike is only at home in its element: the track. In form and substance, the Aprilia 250 RS is undoubtedly the closest thing to the bikes that gave Rossi, Biaggi, O.J. and others their crowns...

Impressive power-to-weight ratio and all-round performance. I'm discovering this little marvel today, which was still 23 hp more than the 350 RDLC, which came out about a decade earlier.
Now it's not every 20,000, with 2 pistons to change, but every 10,000. Reserved for the young bourgeois of the circuit.

I've had my rs250 for 10 years, a 2000 model with 23,000 kms, engine never opened. I only ride it on the road. This bike is exceptional, it's the last bike that comes close to a GP 250 motorcycle of the time. It's easy to ride, and it's an idiot's trap! Careful, you'll need some luggage to ride it. It's a bitch to ride, but a real joy for those who know how to use it. And a collector's machine at that. A beautiful one costs a minimum of 4500â'¬
A must-have purchase for a second motorcycleo....

13 years since its release, and it's still setting the standard for the latest 1000 models. Too bad we don't see more of them on our roads..
I'm on my second, the first when I was 19, the second when I was 25... And why not a third at 30...

I had a 125 copétition (piston 1 ring, unbridled etc...), I passed the licence, passed to the supermotard and to the ducati, but recently I return to aprilia through the 250 rs (2 times) surely not to make as ts the world..
but what an incomparable machine
I'm keeping it !

What can I say? 2tps is special, you have to be a connoisseur. And I love it. I've had the 50, the 125 and now the 250. It's a marvel. Contrary to what I thought, it's much more usable at low revs than the 125. You can drag yourself behind cars without having to play with the gearbox all the time. It's hyper-torquey, but that's enough. Obviously, it's in the high revs that it's the queen. After 6,000, you can already feel that it's going to push hard. At 8,000, it's shock and awe. The mill transforms into a raging monster that instantly picks up 12,000rpm and propels the bike to untold speeds. You grab the brakes and the scenery comes to a screeching halt, even your arms hurt from the braking. Curves? Not even seen, it goes by too fast... It swings from one angle to another without even thinking about it. It's directly connected to the rider's brain
Of course, the fuel consumption of this kind of engine is gargantuan (over 8L/100 with normal driving) and maintenance must be regular and, unfortunately, expensive. This is an exceptional machine which, sadly, is no longer in production.

i love 2-strokes so what can i say about this dream bike that delivers intense sensations.i really hope that aprilia will bring us one.i could only try it out (insurance problem at 20 years old....)but it's magical, the sound of the 2-stroke and the smell of burning oil are unforgettable
i've had the 50 and will soon have the 125, can't wait for the 250!

it's an adorable piece of crap...as long as you know how to use it and adjust it correctly...and I haven't met many who do... a little engine preparation (re-boring to 325 cm3) and fine-tuning of the lines; and the CBRs and other niakoués don't sniff the smell of the mixture for very long...and yes...I live in the mountains, you have to know how to chain the hairpins..
PS: everything I changed on my '97 rs (from valve cables to bearings to plastic parts (a profusion of useless parts or parts designed to save money, no need to talk rubbish, aprilia knows how to "dauber" a bike) has aged well...

Hyper bike! nothing to say, especially since the pleasure is in beating the crap out of bikes with larger displacements. I say it's an ideal bike for learning how to ride a sportbike, very good for young people, since insurers are going nuts with sportbikes! Rating : 5/5
French Model 1995
A very, very good bike... It needs a few adjustments to work at its best (valves that don't lift all the way, carburetion that's too rich), as well as the right gear ratio to reach its true top speed (it pulls too short as standard), but for me it's one of the best machines around... Rating : 5/5
French Model 1995
I've been dreaming of this bike for a long time
i was finally able to afford one last month
as a fan of this bike, I have to say that it's an atomic bomb!!!!
works phenomenally well !!!!
unusable at low revs
But with someone at the rear, it's impossible to accelerate to full throttle in 1st gear, otherwise you're guaranteed a lift!!!!!!!!
a bike not to be put in every hand, it deserves a certain and obvious experience!
bonne route a tous!
