presentation of the Collector Roadster 2015
On the one hand, you have the hamburger, the sandwich, the pizza, the sushi tray... In short, snacks that are available everywhere and can be eaten quickly. And then, towards Sommiéres, you have a roadster with a strong, deep, gripping taste. A machine that moves you without even starting. A motorcycle with an acute sense of purity, violent mechanical intoxication and a patina of passion suggested in every part. But it's also an elitist fare, an almost spiritual requirement; and yet, this Avinton wants to endow its rider with a certain versatility.
the Collector Roadster, as it's called, is distinguished from the Race and GT versions by the adoption of handlebars. Offering a less sporty riding position, it allows the rider to enjoy extra comfort, handling and grip without sacrificing too much in terms of performance. Special fork tees improve the turning radius. And then there's the cachet! The cast aluminum axles are a delight to detail. And the Avinton has no shortage of such delicacies.
sculpted like the AC Cobra, its two-wheeled descendant, beautiful and almost elusive, the Avinton Roadster lacks neither visual aplomb nor engine character. The French brand called on engine-maker S&S to power its models. Huge and thrilling, a 1647 cm3 twin bursts from the ribcage of this muscle-bike. A burst of throttle and both road and tire know they're about to be seized raw. From the bowels of the engine come a cumulative 120 hp at 5750 rpm, and a hefty 17.1 mkg of torque at 3000 rpm. And all around, a selection of top-quality peripherals and parts.
although the starting price is already in the luxury category, you only need to choose one of the 6 available finishes - Originale - Vintage - Deluxe - Grand Sport - Super Snake - Cult - plus a few optional extras to quickly push the bill up very, very high. But don't take our word for it. When you come to Avinton, you're crossing a frontier where customization has virtually no limits if your budget falls within the CAC 40 criteria.
