presentation of the F 900 XR-P Police 2022
bMW has been supplying motorcycles to police, customs and other government departments for ages. An institution that can even be found in comic books, such as the famous JBT Interceptor (Joe Bar Team).
at the latest Milipol show, BM unveiled the latest addition to this family: the F 900 XR Police. A multi-role partner for the forces of law and order.
the gray-blue-yellow colors are not definitive. The bike's color scheme changes according to the administration it will serve. This model serves mainly as a demonstration of the equipment options available.
like all BMWs destined for the authorities, this bike receives its special equipment directly from the factory assembly line. Here we can see the flashing beacons (essential for emergency use), the cylinder guards where the sirens are fitted, the cases where the duty kit will be stored and an imposing seat cover. Most of the time, it conceals on-board electronics specific not to the motorcycle but to the mission. Analog and digital radio peripherals can be found here.
we know that government bikers ride a lot. A lot. But can they have fun on the handlebars? The F 900 XR will offer them efficiency, but its not exactly fun engine will only distract them with the rigorous work it does. Yet the twin offers 105 hp and 9.4 mkg.
the mid-size crossover from Bavaria is one of the latest additions to the BMW Motorrad catalog for special customers. It joins a very long list of special models, the first of which dates back to 1928. That's just 5 years after the very first motorcycle from Bayerische Motoren Werke.
