presentation of the 21 2023
Böhmerland has a special place among the brands that have sunk in the past but have been brought back to life thanks to the appetite of enthusiasts. The Czechoslovakian brand owes its renown not to a large production output or an inescapable presence, but to its limousine-length models, which can carry up to 4 people.
böhmerland 's return to the scene with an extravagant model, the 21. A custom preparation-show-bike in the emblematic yellow and red colors. A delicious cocktail, perfectly highlighting the bike's long, minimalist lines. For if the design expresses art and creativity, the technical solutions are not to be outdone.
Take the front end, for example, where the fork springs are on the outside. Surprising! As is the bow assembly, worthy of a futuristic film, but fitted with brakes featuring a small disc and 4-piston caliper. At the editors', we've spent a long time trying to figure out why this model is called 21... and the only valid conclusion in our eyes is a reference to the diameter of its wheels. 21 inches, front and rear.
The Böhmerland 21 also makes a strong impression with its ultra-flat seat-tank assembly, hinged at the front and supported by two springs. A very"show" solution, just like the rear suspension kinematics. The rigid Hartail frame is finished off by the addition of plates supporting the rear wheel, all linked to an extension arm anchored to a central shock absorber.
Power transmission is equally folklo'. A doubled chain transfers the engine's power to a separate clutch-box, located midway between the crankshaft pinion and the rear wheel. From there, another chain transmits power from the gearbox to the wheel.

But there's yet another chain. To drive the compressor. Yes, a compressor, to give horsepower... to an antique 600 cm3 single-cylinder. The 21 has chosen the same displacement as its interwar ancestors. In fact, the block boasts 47 horsepower - which is what a 600 XT could naturally produce. There's always something to be astonished about when you see this kind of extremely polished machine, with its artistic pricing and out-of-date mechanics.
This revival of the Böhmerland falls directly into the category of exclusive motorcycles, in terms of form, use and rarity. only 10 examples are planned, for a price of 58,000 euros... excluding tax.
