presentation of the 125 MITO EV 2003
messire, a Ducati 916... No, a 125... I don't remember! If the design is misleading, the Mito cultivates the same art of sport as its prestigious cousin. Enticing plastics, aluminum frame, big Brembo discs and a vigorous engine - good looks, good features, but no concessions. Forget comfort and practicality, and treat yourself to a diabolically efficient machine. The handling is that of a racing motorcycle, reinforced by the single-cylinder engine that belches out 36 hp at full throttle. In France and with 15 hp, the bike remains rigorous, but the lack of power is frustrating. The 2000 version evolves with a 6-speed gearbox, new 6-spoke rims instead of 3, a modified airbox, exhaust and ignition box. Always surprising in its efficiency and the speeds it reaches, my Mito still requires attention. You have to keep an eye on the engine, maintain it often and without counting the cost, to limit the (significant) risks of tightening. Add to this a price almost equivalent to that of a 500, and you'll understand that the Mito is an intoxicating toy, but exclusive in more ways than one.
