presentation of the 800 NK Advanced TC 2025

Taking advantage of KTM technology, CF Moto intends to stir up trouble in Europe's leading motorcycle categories. The first real offensive, with a larger displacement, was with a mid-size trail bike. The 800 MT tickled the industry's leading models.

With the 800 NK roadster, the aggression becomes severe. This model poses a direct threat to well-known calibres: the MT-07, the 790 Duke, the 7 and a half Hornet; and challengers such as the 660 Trident, GSX-8S or 800 Leoncino. The gangs are not in the mood to laugh. The newcomer arrives with a 95-hp twin from Katoche, plenty of equipment and a real design. CF Moto gives identity to these machines, leaving the bland or copycat aspects in the dustbin of stereotypes.

The 800 NK is available in two versions: Sport or Advanced. It's the latter that interests us. There's no difference between chassis and engine. What a shame! Dedicated color schemes, Brembo brakes or a sharper chassis would have been nice.
No, CF Moto prefers to go for the equipment, just to give the competition an extra kick. As a result, the NK 800 Advanced comes with a number of features hitherto unavailable at this level of the range.

the NK 800 Advanced also comes with

  • Steering damper
  • Keyless start system
  • Up&Down shifter
  • A huge 8-inch vertical display (instead of the 5-inch horizontal one)
  • Traction control, including anti-wheeling system

All this for an extra 1,200 euros. Which puts this 800 NK exactly on a par with a Suzuki GSX-8S, which is far less well-equipped (but with a different reputation)

CF Moto 800 NK Advanced yet the 800 NK is rich in electronics. It comes with 3 driving modes (Street - Sport - Rain), but these only affect the engine mapping. Other features include cruise control, a limited-slip clutch, suspension that can be adjusted from virtually anywhere, and big J. Juan brakes.Juan brakes, a system that leaves the headlight on for 10 seconds to help you find your way in the dark, a voice interface to control on-board functions, Carplay projection so that the smartphone is displayed on the dashboard, a simplified GPS navigator and a function that changes colors according to the vehicle's condition. Strangely, the weight increases by 3 kgs. Yet there are only a few more electronic parts. And a steering amorto weighs 500 grams... But what really amazes us is the weight of 189 kgs. At last, a Chinese bike with a decent weight, equal to that of a Triumph or a Kawa Z 650.

The battle is not won in advance for the CF Moto 800 NK, but the arguments are there. Enough to provoke the ire of its direct competitors.
"No danger for Japanese and European stars", some may think................ Remember what happened to Nokia, which dominated its market and seemed invincible.

French Bern Model 2023
On a 2023 sport model, changing the clutch control rod (see on Aliexpress for less than 10€) considerably softens handling! As for the rest, it's a machine with excellent driveability and very respectable performance, offering top value for money; what else! Rating : 4/5
