presentation of the 8300 TOMAHAWK 2003
Introduced at the 2003 Detroit Motor Show, the Tomahawk from American manufacturer Dodge (a subsidiary of Daimler-Chrysler) pushes the limits of the unbelievable. Is it really a motorcycle? It's hard to say. What counts above all is its motorization. In this respect, it's simple: absolute madness.
If you're going to make a crazy show bike, you might as well put a crazy engine in it. And the lucky one is none other than the Dodge Viper V10. A gigantic, tumbling mill with a displacement of over 8 liters. With its power, the bike is theoretically capable of knocking out a fighter jet on start-up. So much torque and watts that two chains are needed to transmit all the power.
500 horsepower - 71 mkg - a top speed in excess of 500 km/h that can be reached in 400 m... These are frightening figures, but they're only half astonishing given the sheer size of this beast. Aesthetically, the Tomahawk surprises, stuns and disturbs; it's a visual uppercut. When you come to your senses, you can't help but wonder: it's just an engine and wheels, basta. The front wheels are held by heavy-duty articulated arms connected to an aluminum monocoque frame. Each wheel is fitted with a 508 mm perimeter brake track on which 2 4-piston calipers bite. Rear braking is scarcely less impressive, also with 2 perimeter tracks, but with a single caliper per wheel. 4 discs and 16 pistons are not superfluous, as the machine weighs a whopping 680 kg.

"Is it really a motorcycle? Hard to say."
From near or far it looks like a motorcycle, it's just got 2 extra wheels. so what? it's got to hold its own at over 500Km/h! I think it's 640 or something like that. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Morpheus
motorcycles with 1hp/kg are a dime a dozen (incidentally, the tomahawk doesn't even have 1hp/kg, does it?) and none of them reaches 500km/h in 400m... motor engineer -_- on the internet surely. but IRL? Rating : 2/5 Participate in the conversation

When will we see a jet-powered motorcycle? Rating : 5/5 Respond to 102KTL
too big to go between cars
too powerful under acceleration, you'll get stuck in the car in front of you too expensive you'll have to win a euro million to get on the waiting list of buyers, not to mention the gas station subscription and, above all, the fact that your insurer can see you coming from the distance (he can hear you too)
seriously, it's perfect for the next starwars Rating : 5/5 Respond to popof
Then it doesn't lift? LOL
500 Cheveau pushed a block you just have to pull the gidon back a milimeter at full acceleration to go live backwards... Rating : 5/5 Respond to LOL Bande
But, for anyone with the balls to wake up the 500 horses, how many seconds does it take to burn the 12.3-liter tank?!!!!! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Polf
I'm sure I'll save at least 9,000 euros by asking for third-party coverage without fire. Rating : 5/5 Respond to hoink
OOUUAAHH !!!!!!!!!!!! What a... "TRUC???" Well, it's not pretty, it doesn't turn, it doesn't lift, it's heavy (680 kg), it must pollute like crazy (note for the ecologists...) Anyway... It's... a car!!! can you see yourself going 450 km/h on the ring road between the two lanes??!! Or maybe your name is M. Schumacher and you've got Superman's balls !!!!
Otherwise, it's really impressive for lovers of fine mechanics only !!! Rating : 5/5 Respond to areno
