presentation of the 600 Monster 1997

For less than 50,000 francs, you can give yourself access to the Monster myth. This timeless, unique design is the result of a brilliant pencil stroke! On the menu, the famous trellis frame housing a 53 hp twin. There's nothing frightening about the power, but the engine has a strong character (with a good pair of pots, the famous Ducati sound will make your guts vibrate). The inverted forks penalize the turning radius, but that doesn't stop the Monster from being particularly at home in town, where its looks are all the rage. It's easy to ride, and its lightness and high-level agility do the rest. The suspension system reduces comfort to the benefit of roadholding, as long as the road is welcoming; the Monster is temperamental over small bumps. Braking is handled by a Brembo single-disc unit, which is highly effective. You may not get drunk on the 900, but you'll get the bottle.

I'm lucky enough to own one as my first bike. The bike is quite fine, agile, rather energetic and honestly impossible to have any regrets!
For all young licence holders who, like me, didn't have the money for new bikes, or who love the old dark ones! Inexpensive insurance, low fuel consumption, the duo isn't as horrible as all that for touring, and I've even clocked up 2,500 km on vacation with it..
Really, treat yourself!

Very nice bike, especially if you're small. Low insurance and maintenance costs. I own it as a second motorcycle because the duo is not its thing.impeccable small budget. Great look Rating : 5/5
French enricco Model 1999
It's a rather small, stubby motorcycle, but a pleasure to look at. When you ride it for the first time, it's hard to believe it has the turning radius of a truck. In use, it's stiff and dry, and the slightest incline in the road feels like a speed bump. The forward position is tiring after 100 kilometers. The range is ridiculous, like many motorcycles, because this is not a tourer, but a small sports bike for the owner with a well-filled wallet, because parts are expensive (too much). Apart from that, the exhaust system makes a bewitching noise, and the gear selection is firm, but at least you know where you stand. In short, a fun bike, in a displacement segment that needs to be reviewed. It's an "in-between" bike. Neither big nor small... Not for me. By the way... Solo use only. Your passenger could fall off with such a small, high, uncomfortable saddle. Real backpackers, don't bother !!!! Rating : 1/5

Hi, I have an unanswered question about the turning radius. I was going to get my license with this bike, but I hear everywhere about this turning radius. And I was wondering if it was possible to get my license with it, or at least that it wouldn't be too difficult and that it would still be possible.

French jimgalibi Model 1999
Motorcycle too exclusive: stiff on the road, lack of flexibility at low revs, reserved exclusively for solo riding (good luck to the passenger's kidneys, especially if he's tall!), decent performance without more (0 to 100 like a BMW R.75/7 from 1978 with 50 hp), price of parts and maintenance, if followed up of course, too expensive. Thank you, though, for the noise and engine character of a 600, which isn't my cup of tea. It's good for stoplights and short trips. Then you'll be satisfied! Rating : 2/5
French Gonewoui Model 1998
Very good wheel for beginners, but to be avoided if, like me, you're over 80 m tall, you'll end up with cramped legs on the way down. A bubble is a must, or at least a windscreen if you plan to exceed 110 kph, otherwise lightness is a factor and the front wheel tends to become light Rating : 5/5
French DUCAT MAN Model 1994
Hello all 4, 3, 2 and 1-wheeled motorcyclists
As a new Italian owner, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy riding this machine
The 600 Monster is really typical and fast, powerful and impressive. It's the right compromise for an asphalt beginner like me
The pleasure of driving it becomes intense when you open up the throttle and a raucous noise comes to reason the whole thing, allied to the gestures of satisfaction of the spectators who have no helmets and are enjoying the concert 100%...
This monster is my first ride and I sincerely believe I'd only change it for a DUCAT
See you soon on the roads of the Opal Coast (Cap Blanc Nose) and be careful.

as a former owner of a 2 600 mostro, I can assure you that I had a lot of fun riding these bikes.they're small, light, easy to ride, easy to get used to, with a responsive and pleasant engine that responds at all revs, a real treat in town and on all roads.what's more, they're not very expensive to buy, with maintenance (fuel consumption 5l/100) and insurance, so I'd recommend them for beginners who want to have a little fun. the only small drawbacks are perfectible comfort for the rider (a pain in the ass after 1h45 2h of riding), but good in the rear, to the surprise of my passengers and despite the small one.The only minor shortcomings are the perfectible comfort for the rider (a pain in the arse after 1h45 2h of riding), but the rear seat is good, to the surprise of my passengers and despite the small size of the seat.and to finish off, the gearbox is a bit hard and dry at first, but it's a Ducati at the same time.PS: I was forgetting the unique sound of a Ducati that you can't forget.
