presentation of the 620 MONSTER S CAPIREX 2004
ducati's first year in the MotoGP class has been a resounding success. And if the Desmocedici has come up against the RCV 211, it's not just the engineers we owe it to - let's salute and congratulate Loris Capirossi's riding and success. In recognition of this, the Bologna-based company is dedicating this special Monster 620 series with the Capirex badge to its rider. The bike's rump is adorned with a large 65, the number used by Loris in the championship. It can also be found on the windscreen, along with a white stripe like on the S4R and a "Capirex" logo on the mini-bubble. On this version, the swingarm is aluminum and some parts, such as the front mudguard, are carbon. Beyond these attributes, it benefits from the special features of a Monster 620 S, notably the clutch, which features Ducati's patented APTC (Adler Power Plate Clutch) system. In addition to reducing lever effort by 40%, this system prevents the rear wheel from locking up during hard deceleration. In its 10-year history, Ducati has produced 130,000 Monster bikes.
