presentation of the 1200 Monster S Stripe 2015
at the top of the Monster range, the 1200 S awaits thrill-seekers. 10 hp more powerful than the standard 1200 (145 total), equipped with Öhlins suspension, forged aluminum wheels and braked by Brembo Mbrembo M50 triers borrowed from the big Panigale, this hot-blooded roadster can't wait for a good, hard ride. What's more, its electronics allow it to show off a host of docilities as and when required (Bosch 9MP ABS, riding modes, triple injection mapping and traction control).
the Stripe version of the 1200 Monster S becomes even sportier visually. Its red coloring, criss-crossed by a double white stripe, is a real eye-catcher. As on the 821 Stripe, this ebullient roadster features a small windscreen and an aluminum plate holder, the latter no longer attached to the swingarm but to the rear frame. A refined detail: the belt covers are made of carbon. No technical or engine improvements seem to have been deemed necessary by the factory. In fact, just try to live up to the potential of a roadster of this calibre...
even more tempting, the Ducati 1200 Monster S Stripe requires a definite and hardly justifiable budget extension. Even so, this roadster costs the same as a Hypersport BMW S 1000 RR.
