Following two concept bikes based on the XDiavel (the XDiavel by Roland Sand and the draXter by the Ducati Design Center), Ducati has now placed its cruiser in the creative hands of Belgian tuner Fred Krugger.

the result is the Thiverval, a powerful, futuristic new cruiser that pays particular attention to detail. While retaining its direct links to the XDiavel, it also demonstrates its potential in terms of customization.
Introduced in 2016, the Ducati XDiavel is a Ducati stamp on the concept cruiser. The brand practices a blend of performance, comfort, tinged with riding pleasure and relaxed travel. All propelled by a design that has garnered several of the top prizes in Europe and the USA (the 2016 Red Dot Design Award and the 2016 Good Design Award respectively), highlighting how the cruiser created by Bologna has brought two opposing worlds together.

the Thiverval - named after a small circuit on the outskirts of Paris - was presented to the public on July 1 at Bikers Classics 2017, held at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. This popular event attracts thousands of fans of vintage racing bikes, prepared motorcycles and Cafe Racer.

fred Krugger, winner of not one but two editions of the AMD Custom Bike Building World Championship, is one of the world's best and most famous tuners. He set out to create a cruiser of unimaginable power, yet with strong links to the XDiavel and Ducati DNA in general.

the result is both original and fascinating. The engine remains clearly visible, while the trellis frame is deliberately hidden to simplify the bike's lines. The original headlight has been retained, as if to preserve as much of the XDiavel's recognizability as possible, while the main structures have been completely redesigned, in particular the tank and rear buckle, which alternate between matte and chrome finishes with a dominant black. The under-seat exhaust, also redesigned, is an integral part of the bike's rear loop, with two huge tailpipes, not to mention the new positioning of the lighting. All this took Fred several days of hard work.
