Ducati has decided to highlight its new 'Iceberg White' color for the XDiavel S. Unsurprisingly, after such a name, the pearly white tablecloth covers all the trim parts. It's a way for the Italian brand to underline its high standards and character in the world of custom and design. It's also an opportunity to announce that the XDiavel models coming in 2018 will benefit from an improved, more comfortable rear suspension. A new color scheme, but an unchanged identity, as strong as ever. With a Testastretta twin pumped up to 1262 cm3 and featuring DVT variable valve timing. The result: 156 horsepower and, above all, plenty of torque available very early on.

And how does the Xdiavel S differ from the standard version? The manufacturer is not raising the level of performance, but rather that of finish. The wheels are different, with a more dynamic design and polished spokes. The Brembo monobloc calipers here are M50s, mounted at the end of a 50 mm inverted fork that receives a DLC antifriction treatment. The aluminum mirrors are machined. The all-LED headlamp features a luminous inverted U for DRL daytime illumination. And let's not forget the guest Bluetooth in the on-board electronics.

On the engine side, polishing work has been carried out on the side casings. This virtualization of the valve train is reminiscent of similar work on Boxer Design's forthcoming Brough Superior SS 100

Last but not least, a special seat in two different materials and a brushed finish on the aluminum swingarm. No Öhlins? No, nor Termignoni exhaust or carbon parts. But rest assured, the price increase will still hurt.
