presentation of the 1584 NIGHT TRAIN FXSTB 2008
american as it is, the Milwaukee-based manufacturer entrusted its European division with the task of designing the Night Train. A logical move, given that this Harley-Davidson motorcycle was first and foremost intended for the Old World market. The motorcycle had long since joined H-D's worldwide catalog. The company couldn't leave its homeland without this soberly styled, clean-lined machine.
Predisposed by its name, the color black suits it perfectly. Like all the latest Softail models, such as the new Deuce, it features a deceptively rigid frame and the Twin Cam B engine, here painted black. Now much more demonstrative with its 1584 cm3 cubic capacity, the 96B vibrates just the right amount without excess, thanks to its balancer, and at last gives the character and depth befitting a Harley. Its rough appearance, however, would suggest more roughness. With a new 6-speed gearbox and a 200 mm rear tire installed at the same time as the big twin since 2007, the Night Train is not lacking in assets. With its eye-catching looks and seductive engine, enthusiasts can't help but love it.
