Harley loves commemorations. Especially when they allow the company to show off its long history, while at the same time highlighting certain models in the range. Every five years, MoCo offers a special "XXXth anniversary" series.
2018 is no exception, as the Milwaukee-based firm blows out its 115 candles with 9 limited-edition models, including this 1200 Forty-eight.
this Sportster, powered by the tonic 1200 twin, already bore in its genes and in its name a tribute to the famous 7.95-liter 'peanut' tank created in 1948. A double tribute for this 115th anniversary special edition, which comes with a few extra embellishments.
starting with the 'Legend Blue Denim' color, which covers the tank and is accompanied by XXL graphics on the right-hand side, depicting a huge eagle carrying the mythical Bar & Shield logo. Blue being the unmistakable color chosen by the manufacturer for this commemoration, the saddle features azure-colored stitching and an HDMC logo. A black badge surrounded by a blue ring takes its place on the crankshaft cover on the right-hand side of the engine.
To buy this special series, you'll have to pay €1,000 more than the base version (€13,590 instead of €12,590). This sum also gives you the opportunity to drive a model produced in a limited edition of 2,400. To underline the exclusivity of your motorcycle, the serial number will be inscribed on the end of the tank.
