never before has a Harley Touring offered so much. Luxury, the open road, CVO excellence, and a new dimension of panache with the addition of a promising engine.
The Milwaukee Eight is enormous, and shows off all its superb qualities in this CVO 1920 Limited. This is the biggest ever version of this powerplant, and it's even bigger than when it was introduced in 2017 - that year, it was the 114 block, or 1868 cm3, that took its place. In order to maintain a very upmarket and privileged status in the range, Harley decided to provide it with even more volume. The CVO now boasts a displacement of 1923 cm3. Baptised 117, it spits out 16.9 which is more than 1 mkg more than the previous 110 ci; anecdotally, it has gained 3 bhp and 0.1 mkg since the 114. Performance-wise, it claims to be 8% faster from 0 to 100 km/h, and 12% faster from 100 to 130 km/h than the Twin Cam 110 Scream'in Eagle.

Sounds barbaric, but in fact, the rider is the focus of these systems. RDRS Safety Enhancements, which stand for Reflex Defensive Rider Systems, combine cornering-sensitive ABS, coupled front/rear braking that reacts to cornering angle, engine torque-actuated anti-dribble, traction control (with 'Standard' and 'Rain' modes) that can be deactivated, tire pressure monitoring and a vehicle hold control that "holds" the brakes on demand with the right hand.
With H-D Connect, we enter the realm of apps. This app enables a smartphone to communicate with the CVO Limited to obtain a whole range of information (fuel, range, mileage, battery, maintenance, etc.), to be warned if it takes a shock, and to be able to follow it if someone is stealing it.
While RDRS is installed natively, H-D Connect will require a subscription after a year's use. For around 14 euros a month.

2021 continues the enrichment with Daymaker adaptive headlights. A dozen or so LEDs and sensors are used to illuminate bends. The driver gets a Boom! Audio 30K system, equipped with Bluetooth to connect to the infotainment system, to a pack of motorcyclists equipped with the same technology in public mode, and to up to 16 buddies in private mode within an 8 km radius.

The suspensions have recently been upgraded. Harley bought an SDBV fork from Showa for greater performance and consistency. The rear shock absorbers abandon air technology for a tried-and-tested emulsion. Preload is extended from 15% to 30% with a single hydraulic adjustment knob. No need for tools or pumps to adjust rear damping, which is also claimed to be very stable over time.
for this vintage, the wheels have changed shape and size. Tomahawk rims are larger in diameter, 19 inches at the front and 18 at the rear.

this is no longer a ship or a queen, but an empress of the road. Imposing in size, quality, equipment, price and vocation, the CVO 1920 Limited combines many of the superlatives of its microcosm.

The Electra 1745 Limited already provided plenty to make us salivate, especially since the evolution of the Rushmore project. So it's only logical that it should provide the CVO with a number of fine features, such as a revised Batwing fairing with central air intake, BOOM GTS multimedia station with GPS, touchscreen and USB playback, stylish passenger seat, Reflex coupled ABS, Daymaker headlights, improved panniers and Pak tour, cruise control, heated grips, One-Touch locking of various components... Don't waste any more.

Like this high-quality paintwork; or the heated seat with dual controls; or the LED lights, a selection of fine parts from the Harley catalog - The Kahuna collection offers on-board levers, brake pedals, muffler tips, heated grips and footrests for rider and passenger. - and the BOOM multimedia center, which offers a number of exclusive features only available on this CVO Limited. The GPS offers 3D landmarks, 3D drawings, and three software updates over five years - the amplifier outputs 75 watts instead of 25 per channel and 16 GB of storage are available in the Jukebox. A word about the Boom Box GTS: a serious update makes this infotainment station simpler, more intuitive and far more powerful. Harley announces 10 seconds to launch the system, faster route calculation, higher screen resolution and contrast, and software enrichment with Apple CarPlay.

Totally unreasonable, absolutely intoxicating, equipped with the luxury worthy of Swiss watches and MoCo's standard-bearer, the CVO 1920 Limited and its majestic Milwaukee Eight 117 take the crew far beyond the journey.
