presentation of the CBR 600 FS 2001
challenging the new R6 is a top priority for Honda's 600 Sport, but sacrificing the CBR philosophy on the altar of performance is out of the question. That's why this FS version has been designed to complement the CBR 600 F. The catalog now includes a road version and this sharper version. The new SP-1 replica paintwork sets the tone: the CBR is more aggressive. The gearbox is shortened, the center stand disappears, the cylinder head is (very) slightly different (2 springs per valve instead of 1 on the F, modified camshafts), and the bike loses 1 kg. The clutch is upgraded from 7 to 8 discs, and the red paintwork with the giant black wing is magnificent - a real little SP-1. The slimmer seat is double-decker, making the silhouette a little more aggressive and, above all, giving the rider greater mobility. In terms of dynamics, the modifications don't really transform the CBR, even if the image becomes distinctly sportier.

Very reliable motorcycle, easy to drive, easy to place in curves... brakes not too bad except that they heat up quickly in sporty use, for fuel consumption you should count on about 6.2l/100 kms in mixed use.
There's no cost involved (apart from normal maintenance...), it's really an excellent motorcycle that's a real eye-opener for some recent bikes... in short, top of the range. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Micka 16150
