presentation of the FX 650 Vigor 2003
the FX may have a utilitarian vocation, but its scrambler looks give it a joie de vivre. Its single-valve air motor is of the same temperament. Derived from the Dominator, this 650 has been made smoother and fuller at mid-range, thanks to the adoption of a TPS sensor that affects ignition. A short ride around town reveals its city-dwelling qualities. Impeccably agile and maneuverable, it's also very welcoming thanks to its low seat height and small windscreen, which provides welcome protection up to legal highway speeds. Compared to the SLR it replaces, the FX is prettier, better finished, and boasts more practical features, such as a luggage rack incorporating a U-shaped anti-theft bracket. The seat, fuel tank and exhaust have also been given a facelift. The instrument panel is more complete, with a new speedometer and rev counter. All right, the brakes have room for improvement and the suspension lacks suppleness. But the FX will be kind to your wallet, while offering a dose of fun and an ounce of seduction that only urban trail bikes can provide. Young licensees and small people, don't be surprised if it gives you a hard time.

The SLR's has some design flaws, notably the needle base is crimped into the carb body, which means that unlike many other carburetors, when you change the needle-float assembly, it's not supplied with the needle base... Rating : 5/5 Respond to hyppo

i don't know the price of the 2001 FX 650, but I'm interested in yours if you're still selling it.

The position is very upright, the seat quite high, but possible to use from 1.70 m I think (I'm at 1.80m, which is fine). The suspension has plenty of travel and is very comfortable. Braking, especially at the front, is not my strong point. The "old-fashioned" look suits me very well, with the spoked wheels, the round headlight and the 2 exhaust pipes in the air, and the two-tone saddle => very nice! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Ray_Mee

And even to finish here, if Mr Honda gave it a makeover with 2 nice tailpipes, a new fork, an efficient windscreen (at last!) and the same engine with inject Rating : 5/5 Respond to Yoma

-comfort: the monoshock seems to be made of wood
-the soapy seat
