presentation of the TE 300 2016
Husqvarna's 300 TE is the culmination of the cylinder with holes. Featuring a high-capacity 300 cm3 2-stroke engine and a total weight of just 104.6 kg without fuel, the TE 300 combines extreme performance with solidity, with low maintenance costs as is customary for a 2-stroke. Its astonishing performance can be achieved thanks to modified forks and front-end geometry, as well as revised damping settings. Power is precisely controlled by the new Brembo hydraulic clutch and smooth six-speed gearbox. High-quality components and equipment include electric starter and kick, handlebar-mounted map selector as standard, Brembo brake calipers and the largest fuel tank in the competition enduro segment.
engine
the TE 300 boasts the most powerful 2-stroke engine on the market today. The engine features an advanced exhaust valve that optimizes power delivery and, combined with the Boyesen diaphragm, offers excellent response and durability.
mapping switch fitted as standard
engine characteristics can be customized thanks to the standard-mounted mapping switch which changes the CDI curve between two ignition curves according to rider preference, conditions and terrain. Further optimization of power delivery can be achieved by adjusting exhaust valve spring stiffness.
new Brembo hydraulic clutch
the TE 300 now features a new Brembo hydraulic clutch system. The high-quality clutch system ensures perfect clutch modulation in all conditions. This means that backlash is constantly compensated for, and the pressure point and clutch operation remain the same in hot or cold weather, and over long periods of time. The Brembo clutch is also characterized by very even wear, and is virtually maintenance-free.
electric and kick starters
the standard electric starter provides reliable, effortless starting, which is particularly appreciated in difficult terrain. TE 250 and TE 300 motorcycles with 2-stroke engines feature both an electric starter and kick starter as standard.
chromium-molybdenum steel frame
high-quality, high-strength steel is laser-cut and robot-welded to rigorous standards by WP Performance Systems, in precise compliance with the torsional rigidity, longitudinal flexibility and weight defined by our R&D department. Precisely defined torsional rigidity enables great handling and promotes stability, while longitudinal flexibility facilitates the absorption of terrain impacts and, in combination with the suspension, gives greater comfort and a better feel. The lightweight design allows riders to choose faster routes with confidence and maintain a steady racing pace over long periods.
polyamide rear section
the lightweight, three-piece rear section is more flexible than a traditional aluminum rear section. Combined with the frame's longitudinal flexibility and rear linkage system, it gives the rider a greater sense of comfort and confidence on his machine, enabling him to push the limits in all conditions and on all terrains. The composite rear frame design integrates an air box and rear grips.
aluminum swingarm
a great deal of development effort has gone into the aluminum swingarm to meet the very ambitious targets set by our professional riders. The precisely studied flexion of the swingarm gives riders a perfect feel for the terrain, enabling them to adjust power to the rear wheel for optimum traction and speed. The one-piece construction of the aluminum swingarm eliminates the need for welds, providing greater reliability, stability and safety than other manufacturing processes, as well as superior quality and consistent performance over time.
top ergonomics
ergonomics are crucial to rider feel and confidence, which is why the handlebars can be adjusted to four different positions to suit all types of rider. The stylish, modern fairing has been designed for a perfect fit between man and machine, and to allow total control in all conditions, whatever the rider's build. The new seat pad is extremely hard-wearing and has a much higher grip than the previous material. The color, now dark blue, blends perfectly with the new fairing color.
new front axle and fork legs
the details of the improvements made to AM 16 enduros concern the front axle, where a new 22 mm front axle fitted with specific fork legs replaces the previous 26 mm axle. The new axle is lighter, and the fork legs have a smaller offset and greater caster, giving greater stability and better front-end feel.
new fork offset
the CNC-machined fork tees on all bikes now have a 22 mm offset. The resulting reduction in caster compensates for the increase in caster caused by the new front wheel axle and fork legs, providing an optimum balance between agility and stability. The fork crowns are made from high-quality materials, precision-machined and anodized in dark black.they are designed to evenly distribute the clamping force on the fork crown and maximize the contact area for optimum sensitivity and minimal friction. The fork tees offer precise flexibility and perfectly complement the fork, transmitting detailed information to the rider.
rear links
now in its third year of development, the Husqvarna enduro rear linkage is proving to be the optimal choice for all riding styles and skill levels. This versatile system performs well on a wide variety of terrains, from narrow, technical tracks to wide, high-speed circuits. The high level of comfort provided by our linkage system enables the rider to tackle rough terrain with optimum feel and traction in all circumstances.
revised 4CS fork settings
with the new offset on the fork tees and fork legs, the 4CS adjustment has been revised to match the new front-end geometry. Now in production for four years, the 4CS fork has achieved a perfect balance between performance, feel and reliability. The 4CS fork's four-chamber system has been developed to improve damping, handling, flexibility and rider comfort, ideal characteristics for enduro riding. The selector settings can be quickly and easily changed via buttons at the top of the fork tubes. The red button on the right changes rebound damping, while the white button on the left changes compression damping. The WP suspension is of exceptional quality and offers the highest levels of performance. Precise design, quality materials and advanced production processes are the hallmarks of WP forks across the Husqvarna range.
new rear disc brakes and front axle
new GSK rear and front disc brakes offer superior stopping power and enhanced control thanks to their innovative design.
blue anodized rear sprocket
the Supersprox 2K blue-anodized rear sprocket greatly enhances the sporty look, as well as improving quality and performance. High-strength steel teeth last at least three times longer than aluminum sprockets, while the lightweight aluminum inner ring reduces unsprung weight by 50% compared with steel sprockets.
large fuel tank capacity
husqvarna 2-stroke bikes feature the largest fuel tank in the competition enduro category. Designed for any terrain - from the typical forest tracks of Europe to the wide-open spaces of Australia and the USA - the 2-stroke's 11-liter fuel tank holds 1.5 liters more than its nearest competitor. The polyethylene fuel tank features an easy-to-open bayonet filler cap.
dID wheels
black DID high-strength alloy wheels are matched by CNC-machined hubs and silver-anodized aluminum spoke nipples, for excellent performance and a modern look.
