presentation of the 1250 Sport Scout 2025
On the face of it, a Scout is designed more for cruising than for sport. When it comes to muscular dynamism, Indian would tend to pull out the FTR. But this is not the stereotype. The 1250 Scout Sport aspires to ride less sensibly and to shake things up on the slightest outing.
It's not here for fun. First, to show off a light outfit with dry mudguards, as on the Bobber. Then, to provocatively cover itself with a little fork head and assert its effrontery. A lot of black on the engine and exhausts to make the bike taciturn... and finally, change the spirit of the front axle to make it growl.
With 150 mm bridges, the arms dominate the road and take it by storm. The Sport Scout is also distinguished by a 19-inch front wheel for more assertive steering, and a fatter seat to better support the posterior.
Its body is identical in every respect to that of almost all other Scouts. A new tubular steel frame replaces the aluminum structure of the old 1133 models, accompanied by a bigger, more powerful engine. With a larger bore and a number of modifications, the SpeedPlus sends out 1 mkg more than its predecessor. 11 mkg of American strength, on hand, surrounded by 105 horsepower, 10 more than before.
But the Sport Scout isn't here to play streetfighter or sharpen blades. Its appearance is more about style than function. It's more akin to a wide-awake, bar-bouncing bobber than an angry athlete.
If you want something more muscular, more snarling, more hardcore, there's a step up: the Scout 101. The engine puts out a few extra ponies, the chassis is far more technical and the design more voracious.
The 1250 Sport Scout is sold with no fuss, no technology and no distractions. It's all black, with just an ABS and a needle on the speedometer, and that's that. On the other hand, if you're curious enough to upgrade to a higher trim level, you'll discover traction control, 3 riding modes (Touring - Standard - Sport), cruise control and a USB port with the "Limited" package - and two violets to boot.
By doubling the extension, the Scout gains a 4-inch color TFT screen, keyless ignition and the option of an A2 throttle. Indian's logic is strange: you've just got your license and you're obliged to buy the most expensive one if you want a Scout... Many European and Japanese machines are more generous when it comes to equipment.

the Sport Scout takes over from the Rogue, with an extra dose of (optional) technology. It doesn't quite match the sportiness of its 1934 ancestor, the one that was destined to replace the 1928 Scout 101 and put Indian on an equal footing with Harley. The historic rivalry still exists, and the Scout doesn't want to dampen the spirits.
