presentation of the 1811 CHIEFTAIN 2018
although it retains the Chieftain name, this Indian is in fact a variation on the old Chieftain, which becomes Chieftain Classic. Do you follow?!?
Why this deviation? It seems that the Chieftain is jealous of some of the attributes of the Elite and Limited versions. For example, it too features a 19-inch front wheel, topped by a fender that's far less wraparound than the usual (Indian) "skirt-like" element. It's clear that the brand wants to shake things up.
with the bow making an impact, the rest of the machine remains identical to the Chieftain we know. A strong GT, with an imposing, virulent forkhead, powered by an enormous 1811 cm3 twin. It's a familiar engine by now, but it's still as appealing as ever, boasting such elegance and presence. This block is seductive even before you turn it on.
The Chieftain has a locomotive front end, two luggage compartments and all the equipment needed for long hours on the road. On board, you'll find the 'Ride Command' infotainment console, ABS, cruise control, electrically adjustable windscreen, keyless start, remote-lockable luggage, 12V socket, tire pressure display, 100W of sound, 2 x 32-liter cargo capacity and plenty of horizon.
