presentation of the 1811 ROADMASTER Classic 2018
The "Roadmaster Classic" is the story of a Roadmaster that had had enough of playing muscle with the local buffalo. All the more so as the jokes about its number of nags, worthy of the latest mid-range production from PSA, were beginning to tickle its pistons. One too many jokes about its 406 kg (dry!) weight finally awakened her Apache warrior instincts.
Scalping the biggest beast around, the Roadmaster decided that if it was going to make an impression, it had to think bigger. Carried along by the 15.3 mkg of torque of her Thunderstoke 111 V-Twin, she skinned the poor beast alive and had the perverse idea of adorning herself, like a trophy, with its shreds previously transformed into imposing saddlebags.
Any nice bits left? We'll turn them into an XXL drying rack.
Scraps? Go ahead, make some nice bangs.
And that's how the Roadmaster Classic was born.
Until proven otherwise...
indian Motorcycle presents a new version of its premium liner. Adorned with three new colors and full-leather luggage, the Roadmaster gets a double dose of fringe and becomes Roadmaster Classic.
In early January 2017, Polaris, owner of Victory and Indian, announced the end of production of the former mentioned to focus on the iconic Sioux-headed brand. The Roadmaster Classic is the first model to come out of Kings Mountain and the fruit of this new strategy.
Already richly endowed with the Roadmaster, enthusiasts of chrome, leather and torquey engines will be in for a treat with this 'Classic' derivative. The Roadmaster Classic retains all the attributes of its American flagship, but is less flashy. More real. And nostalgic. But beware. No loss of majesty. The motorcycle's ultra-high-end character remains intact, and high-tech equipment still sits alongside high-quality materials.

The Roadmaster's front side fairings have disappeared to reveal the highways-bar, which can be optionally covered in leather. In fact, if you feel that the m
As for standard equipment, just like on the Roadmaster, the traveler gets his money's worth: ABS, cruise control, 10-step heated grips, independent heated saddles, electric windscreen, adjustable passenger footrests, keyless start, LED lighting, threelED lighting, three 12V sockets, and of course the Ride Command info-multimedia system with its 17.8 cm screen (the largest on the market), controlling GPS, heating, 100-watt audio system, bluetooth.... and monitors tire pressure, battery status and even altitude!
Comfort also gets its share of options: passenger armrest, boot mat and other refinements... All designed to enhance the user's riding experience. In addition, the Roadmaster Classic offers a Touring or Flare windscreen, lower fairings, a genuine leather seat with extended seat and Highway footrests. You can even add a remote garage opener.
to underline the unique, prestigious character of this Roadmaster Classic, the teardrop logo, never before used on 'modern' Indians, appears on the sides of the tank.
the 'Classic' version of the Roadmaster loses 14 kilos (392 kg) and will be available in three colors. A solid black (Thunder Black) and two of the brand's iconic two-tone colors: Green and Cream (Willow Green over Ivory Cream) and Red and Cream (Indian Motorcycle Red over Ivory Cream).
To afford this Western behemoth, you'll need an equally gargantuan wallet. Expect to pay in the region of €30,000, including a 5-year warranty.
