With its beautiful reinterpretation of the iconic Z1, the Kawasaki Z 900 RS has made a name for itself in the neo-retro segment. Now, with this Speciale Edition, it can go even further. Even better equipped, even more vintage-scented, even more desirable, even better suspended - it smells like big fun and good whimsy all at the same time.

Elle en jette.... She parades..... With its fork tubes and gold rims, it looks like a Marchesini, which is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the machine. The sun-kissed patina is a far more precious sight than the classic grey or black adorned elements. The Z 900 RS evokes only one thing: it looks good.

And it's about to get even better with the improved chassis. The 41 mm upside-down forks not only have a nice coating, but their settings have been reworked to match the better-built shock absorber. Kawa offers the SE a more rigorous, higher-quality Öhlins S46 component. It takes its name from its 46 mm-diameter piston, enclosed in an aluminum body.

Braking, too, has been upgraded with the arrival of Brembo M4.32 calipers. The Italian jaws offer greater consistency and feel, especially as they are activated by a smaller master cylinder (Nissin) and a set of aviation hoses. It would seem that the Z 900 RS was somewhat inspired by the Z 1000 R before going all out.

Of course , you'll have to fork out a bit more money for this more assertive, more fiery bike. About 15% more in the purse.

I've owned this bike since January 2025. In the same orange and brown livery as the Z1 back in 1970, it's a real player and what can I say about the sound of its engine, it really soars with every rev up.
14,000kms and that's only the beginning, because I love it so much I'm going to keep it for a long time. Its retro look is only going to get better with time..

Hello everyone I've just bought this marvellous Z900 RS SE 2024 It's just fantastic, high because of its comfort saddle (a hollowed-out saddle is available as an option for smaller riders), but on tiptoe (like me, 1m73) it does the trick too.
The bike is exceptionally supple, with a monstrous tank fairing that reminds us that we're in perfect fusion with the bike. The original sound reminds us of the power of this Naked! In fact, the power is there on acceleration (and I tried a bike in running-in, so I wasn't able to get up into the revs, so the future is promising).
Admittedly, the price may seem high, but I don't think so when I look at the price of direct competitors or the price of a scrambler (which doesn't offer the same comfort over long distances).
I don't regret my purchase, especially as the Z900 RS SE is a rare model and will not be renewed in 2025 (information or intoxication from the KAWA dealer after my purchase?) I think that for the most loyal who will keep it, this bike will make a place for itself over time (with its 46mm OLHINS piston). But this opinion only commits me.

As I mentioned, I had the pleasure of finding a 2023 Z900 RS SE with only 510 km that is equipped with Mecadig-Vattier's 4-pipe exhaust system. It's a delight to the ears, reminding me of the sound of the 4-wheelers of the 70s! Rating : 5/5

A discreet little windscreen for this beautiful naked, SRA typ WVM - KBA 90512. Installing a higher bubble from Puig ref 4620 didn't work for me. The wind was too concentrated on the helmet. Rating : 5/5

28,000 kms on an RS, I'm a kid again (Givi top case, center stand, I've stopped it dragging everywhere, nipples under the footrests ditto. The RS-SE I want one (like a kid) the shifter on the brain branch, learn to ride a motorcycle again, otherwise you'll end up with automatic gearboxes and settings that take so long to program that your mates will already have done 250 km before you're ready to go Rating : 5/5

And from the outset, it's already very reliable and safe for road use.
As the engine is powerful and torquey to start with, for a very reasonable overall weight, it already offers a fair amount of sensations to the driver of this type of machine, whose aim is not pure performance

I've been riding since 2020,my rs is equipped with carbon rim,EMC shock absorber,adjusted for my weight,shell,Boremia,windscreen,chrome mudguard,and wheel wiper.i've covered 12000 K,and i've had a reprogramming done,and now i have to say the bike is perfect! Rating : 5/5

Sheer beauty, but at a crazy price!

And obviously, it won't even have an up & down shifter, so you can shift gears in a flash without declutching, despite the fact that this non-essential but highly desirable feature is becoming increasingly common on motorcycles costing less than the Z 900 RS (see the Street Triple from the R upwards, the MT 09 and its derivatives, etc.).
