presentation of the Z 500 SE 2025
Kawasaki has decided to offer two versions of its new Z 500. One for everyone, and the other, the Special Edition, for everyone who loves tech. A more premium approach, with the aim of enhancing the value of both the machine and the owner.
On the Z 500 SE, improvements include more robust colors (two to choose from), a fully painted frame, the addition of an engine cover and USB-C socket, more tapered LED indicators, and a color TFT speedo.
Like the standard Z 500's speedometer, it can talk to your smartphone via Bluetooth. This gives access to the Rideology app, motorcycle data, call and message notifications. But the SE's screen is still more modern and qualitative than an LCD block.
Dynamically, the two Z500s can't claim to be any different. Same chassis, same weight, same power - derived from the redesign of the Z 400 's 339 cm3 into 451 cm3, with 45 hp and 4.3 mkg. This engine, which they share with the new 500 Eliminator and Ninja / Z H7 Hybrids, has gained significantly in trunk space since the 400.
So the choice between one or the other will come down to clothes and a little extra technology. It may not be much, but it can be everything.
