presentation of the Ninja 1000 ZX-10R 2026
The wind is blowing again for the Kawasaki ZX-10R, which gets a subtle facelift for 2026. For more than 20 years, it has been generating the powder, the ferocity and the shadow of Superbike on the racetrack. There's no question of leaving too much distance to the competition.
Although it has long resisted the fashion for winglets, the Akashi missile has finally succumbed to the trend with two striking moustaches on the forkhead. Whether they're a fashion accessory or an effective appendage... it's up to each and every rider to judge. In any case, these spoilers add 25% more weight to the front end.
The ZX-10R also gets a facelift, with styling split between the current ZX-6R 636 and some styling cues from the first ZX-10R (from 2004). The face is a little sharper and less abrupt than the previous model. Once past this new bow, the rest of the bodywork takes up the features and volumes of the previous volume.
Redesigned for dynamics.
As powerful as yesterday's 200-plus horsepower block, the 4-cylinder engine has been revised to reduce pollutant emissions. The Showa suspension elements are retained, while the hypersport's geometry is adapted to the new aerodynamics. The fork tubes are lowered by 2 mm in the tees, while the swingarm pivot point is raised by 2 mm. A new suspension design optimizes the work of the rear axle.

Brembo M50 brake calipers and large 330 mm discs are used. The TFT screen has been upgraded from 4.3 to 5 inches, and the interface has been redesigned to include turn-by-turn navigation via the Rideology app, as well as a voice interface.
In terms of electronic assistance, in-house solutions answer the call, with KCMF cornering management, KLCM launch control, KEBC engine braking management, S-KTRC up&down shifter, cruise control, KIBS intelligent braking, 4 driving modes and several power modes.
The ZX-10R's facade has been revamped and the front end has been given a boost, but fundamentally little has changed. It still exudes a strong will to fight, but doesn't seem as hardened as ever to take on the masters of the segment.
