a genuine machine for fun and attack? Certainly in spirit, and we must admit that Kawasaki's approach is not devoid of audacity. The SM 125 market is not the easiest. An essential element in supermotor riding, sensations will be dictated in part by the D-Tracker mill. Perhaps a young, modern mill, like the one Yam has installed in its WR 125 X, would have been more appropriate? After all, Kawa seems to have opted for an air-cooled, fuel-injected mill. By not installing a profusion of technology, Kawa can keep costs down, offer a rock-bottom price (often the key factor), and concentrate on other areas of work. The D-Tracker is advertised as compact, particularly light and easy to handle, making it a great machine for beginners. With 10 hp out of the box, the mono won't help you uproot the road, but it should get the job done. Oh, of course, it won't have the zeal of the old KMXs with their 2-stroke monos (which are greedy and polluting too) - but we're talking about another era...

Doesn't really hold the road, especially in roundabouts, not a powerful bike but nice to start with in A1.
I fitted it with LED lights because the originals aren't that great

The tires are ideal for the road, but on sandy or muddy tracks this Kawa holds up well too. The suspensions are very useful (there are often holes on the roads here) and provide a comfortable ride. The absence of a fuel gauge is not a problem, as you soon find out where you stand, and there's a reserve. Another plus for beginners, it's light and easy to handle with the engine switched off. Also handy for maintenance.
In the meantime, I've had the opportunity to try out other motorcycles (Honda CBR, PCX 150, various scooters...), which have their advantages, but I prefer the super-bike concept.
