kawasaki doesn't have a profusion of 125 models in its road catalog, unlike the other big Japanese manufacturers. The Eliminator is its only 1/8th-litre custom. A presumptuous name for a nicely designed machine that plays differently on the chessboard laid out by Honda and Yamaha. No twin mover, but an efficient single that puts the bike at ease everywhere. Passing power is good, braking is adequate, and handling is satisfactory. The lack of manoeuvrability and the rather high price tag overshadow it a little, but the Kawa fares rather well in all respects.

Hi all, i own a 1998 kawasaki 125 but it has a little problem, the previous owner told me it had tightened. i went around the gearbox and tried to start it, but it wouldn't start, it just slammed, then i noticed one thing, it's in neutral and when you engage the clutch, 1st goes through but no other gear goes through. This little Kawa 125 is very pleasant to ride on small roads, and its top speed is quite sufficient (115 rpm)

After a long hiatus, I decided to get back into it at the age of 62, and bought an Eliminator 125, 6 years old and 2250 km.
A very easy motorcycle, aesthetically successful, discreet, and of great build quality.
I had a lot of fun with my purchase. Performance is limited, but for that I have something else.

it's a very good beaker, beware of the original tire fitment, but personally I find it well-balanced when I put Michelin tyres on the front
fuel consumption is ridiculous (around 3l/100)
the rear shock absorbers are a little dry but effective anyway, they are adjustable in hardness

i've had a 1988 kawasaki eliminator 1000.. for 3 years and i'm super happy with it. it's true that it goes just as well at low revs... it's a real peach when you get back on the gas ... i've gone 180 on the highway and then I fly away... I've had this wheel for 1 year and I've been riding it all year round (in the North of France)
It's reliable, very frugal (3l/100), not too flashy and the comfort is royal
I ride at 105/110, but this bike doesn't slow down too much on hills or in duets
In fact, it's perfect for two-up riding, being the first 125 to give me complete satisfaction in this respect
It's better than the Shadow, which only comes into its own after 9500 rpm (expensive to maintain), more fuel-efficient and comfortable than the Intruder (riders don't ride 125s), and more reassuring for the after-sales service than the Korean models

I've owned an Eliminator for 3 years, bought it new in 1998 when it first came out, and I can say that I've had nothing to reproach it for ....
