kawasaki wanted to make its Z 1000 SX roadster-GT more roadworthy... so it created the Z 1000 SX Tourer;
aware of the Z's playful character, its desire to go for a ride, and its extended capabilities with its fork head, Kawasaki created the Z 1000 SX Tourer.with its ankle-high fork head, the Akashi-based company is offering the SX in a long-haul version called Tourer. However, this is no more and no less than the standard motorcycle equipped with the Tourer pack, i.e. a rack and two large panniers, each with a capacity of 35 liters, which can be used for weekend gear or helmets if you want to leave them well protected. The cases match the color of the machine. They cost a few hundred euros and a few kilos. Not enough to put the wind out of the big 4-cylinder, which is just begging to be put through its paces and all that sort of thing.
