like many of its competitors, Kawasaki enjoyed its best years in the 125 segment with trail bikes and off-road machines. This is the path chosen by the manufacturer for its return to this displacement: a trail bike for adventuring here and there, or for riding from town to country. The KLX 125 is equipped with spoked rims and knobby tires. The gussets on the fork tubes will bring back fond memories for some, and will also protect the tubes from mud and stones. Light and compact, the KLX can be ridden by anyone, thanks to its small footprint and easy, immediate handling. The choice of engine should keep the price down, but don't expect a violent mill. With fuel injection and the work of our engine designers, it will be clean, but the technology does not favor performance. A single-stroke, air-cooled 4-stroke will barely manage 10 horsepower. Let's console ourselves: it won't consume a dime, and in terms of reliability, it'll be much stronger than the old 2-strokes. The latter had a hell of a kick, and the noise of an angry wasp, but it's better not to think about them at all: indecent consumption and outrageous pollution have dictated their decline. The fact remains that this somewhat timid attempt will be hard pressed to upset the Yam WR 125, except on the price front.

i've owned the 2010 model for 9 years, and sometimes forget to have it serviced for long quarters. i've ridden it for almost 50,000km, and so far no engine problems... the two things i regret most are the discomfort of the piece of wood used as a seat, and the range. apart from that, it's a delight to ride on trails and in a TT, provided you're not looking for a feat, because it's a calf. another positive point is its low noise level, which will make you discreet on the trails. top speed 120km, moto planète must have confused it with the 250cm3 model? very likely, count 95/100 with the wind at your back. at 6000rpm it's 70km/h 04/07/2019 02:43 Rating : 3/5 Respond to patrick
