presentation of the ZX-14R 30th Anniversary Edition 2014
the 30th anniversary of the 900 Ninja is the occasion for a number of celebrations and special series for Kawasaki. The ZZR 1400 takes advantage of the occasion with this 30th anniversary limited edition. Or should we say the ZX-14R Ninja, because that's what this road-going missile is called in the States. And that's where it gets tricky for the rest of the world: this series is only available in Uncle Sam's country.
just 300 units, with a special color scheme called "Firecracker Red" with "Metallic Graystone". A color combination we've seen before, and with good reason: the same as that of the 1984 GPZ 900 R. A few gold fillets and commemorative badges complete the distinctive look of this nostalgic 1400 ZX-14R. On the technical side, nothing has changed. The big 4-cylinder, 1441 cm3 engine, with its 200 hp and 16.4 mkg of torque, is still ready to pulverize your driving license in 5 seconds. Its aluminum monocoque frame is still a marginal technology in the sector, but it's both rewarding and efficient, with that unique touch appreciated by owners and technical enthusiasts alike. The GPZ 900 R Ninja can be proud of its descendants. Between the ZZR 1400, the ZX-10R and the 636 R, Ninja bikes are sharpening their blades more than ever on roads and circuits.
