presentation of the GPZ 900 R 1984
It all began in the exciting year 84, with the birth of the Apple Macintosh, Harry (2nd son of Charles and Diana of England), Scarlett Johansson, Canal +, and the first Ninja: the Kawasaki GPZ 900 R. It's a shock, a fantasy for motorcyclists: beneath its racy appearance (for the time - it would almost seem roadworthy today), the machine barely conceals its 115 hp 4-cylinder engine. The bomb! The high point of its reputation came in 1986, when it appeared in one of the most edgy and best-known films of the 80s: TOP GUN. Tom Cruise on his handlebars, sharing the limelight with an American fighter jet - what a poster! In France, the big GPZ also caused a stir with its crazy race against the TGV. A daring challenge organized by Moto-revue, and won by the Kawa.
