presentation of the NINJA H2 SX 2018
After the H2, here comes the SX. Kawasaki warned that its supercharging technology would not be limited to a sultry sports bike. The second chapter takes the form of a high-pressure Sport-GT. A bewilderingly powerful machine, capable of pressurizing the road for its crew. In France, only the SE version, more richly equipped and more distinctive of its territory, enters the market. But why didn't France issue a visa for the standard H2 SX?
because the H2 SX SE, that's what it's all about! It shakes, it calls, it asserts its difference, it shows off its watts, its bow and its long distances. The SX is more discreet. Too discreet, perhaps, for a machine of this conviction. All in black, this Kawasaki plays the stealth game. This doesn't prevent it from retaining its bestial side, its desire to "break-ice" speed. But something isn't quite right... the hatches. Kawasaki has fitted the SE version with adaptive cornering lights, massively implanted in the fairing sides. The std doesn't have any, and as the manufacturer doesn't offer specific panels, the slots had to be filled with covers. The result is a motorcycle appearance exfoliated of these attributes.
discovering the H2 SX's cockpit, you'd think "nice, the H2 cockpit". As long as you leave it at that, no worries. But if you happen to take a look at the SE's cockpit, you're in for a very different experience. It's a much richer, more colorful dashboard, with a TFT screen to match. It's hard to go back to simpler liquid crystals after this.
of course, this is a matter of taste. Many appreciate the efficiency and spirit of a machine over a more or less attractive dress. But... a motorcycle often shares a man's pride. With that bit of philosophy out of the way, let's take a look at the differences between the H2 SX and the H2 SX SE:
Minus (or plus for the other): a center stand, high bubble, up&down shifter, stop-start assistant, 12V socket, heated grips, protectors for the front and rear.and knee protectors, braided brake hoses, and a little edging on the rims. And, as developed before, directional lights and an active matrix dashboard.

Then comes the main course: the engine, which has undergone a major overhaul since the sporty H2. A lot of hard work has gone into reducing its weight and making it more available at low and mid-range speeds. This spirited, turbine-powered 4-cylinder still produces 200 hp and a hefty 14 mkg of torque. Optimization has reduced fuel consumption, but not character.
With its reinforced frame, equipment, Brembo radial brakes and monobracket anchoring the magnificent rear rim, its ability to take rider, passenger and luggage on the road is apparent in accelerated form. With weight, of course, like all motorcycles in this category. ZZR, CBR XX, VFR 1200 or Hayabusa have never been ballerinas.
an ode to speed and touring. Well, not quite. The Kawasaki H2 SX plays more to the emotional side of fearsome acceleration, propelled by a breath that naturally-aspirated engines can't offer. In other countries, it's available for around 15% less than the SE. But will you really look at the price difference when comparing these two furious machines?

Maintenance
The gear wheels may break due to restrictions on the gear shifting. This could lead to obstruction of the drivetrain, increasing the risk of an accident.
An insufficient amount of bearing grease might have been applied to the needle-bearings in the rear hub housing (roller bearings), during the manufacturing process. Consequently, the bearings might become damaged, leading to the blockage of the rear wheel while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of an accident.
