presentation of the Z 1000 SX Performance 2017
Having reached full maturity, the Z 1000 SX is still going strong, and remains a somewhat unusual motorcycle. A sort of bridge between roadster and sport-GT. A machine that has almost all the qualities of the Z 1000, with the addition of good-natured versatility, more electronics and a big engine with more than 140 hp.
for a number of years, Tourer and City versions had been added, but the most expressive was missing: Performance. There was plenty of cause for grumbling, since the Z 1000 has two(standard and R), all Z models have one, and this extends to the Ninja and ZZR. In short, it needed its own pack.
and here it is. The main opening is a double muffler by Akrapovic. Constructed from carbon in a hexa-ovoid shape, the Slovenian components reduce weight by 4200 grams. A slight gain in power comes with a pinch of extra torque. And, of course, the virile, hectic, sporty song of a liberated mechanical organ.
A more energetic note is also reflected in the classic elements of Performance equipment: a fuel tank protector, a passenger seat cover to match the color of the bike, and a smoked windscreen.
