presentation of the Z 900 RS par MRS Oficina 2019
The Kawasaki Z 900 RS is radically transformed into a successful café-racer. MRS Oficina and Kawasaki France have joined forces for the third time to create the Z 900 RS by MRS: the vintage Z1-like model is transformed into a unique cafra racer.
After a 650 Vulcan S transformed into a Café Racer two years ago, and the famous Z 650 roadster in a remarkable Flat Track-style preparation in 2017, MRS is back in the spotlight today with a project based on the Z 900 RS.
Creativity, sportiness, elegance and attention to detail are the watchwords of this new preparation. A sumptuous result made possible by entirely handmade craftsmanship, precision-crafted parts, and the author's deep passion for his work.
Only high-tech materials such as titanium, carbon and aluminum have been used to create this Café Racer, with paintwork in the famous color of yesteryear. Only the front of the frame is original, while the rear has been reworked to support the upside-down leather seat and twin Ohlins shock absorbers with separate cartridges. The aluminum swingarm has been redesigned to accommodate the shock absorber and create a small battery compartment, nicely held in place by a leather strap.

MRS Oficina explains:"When the Z900RS was unveiled in 2017 at the Milan Motorcycle Show, I immediately had the desire to make a preparation from this base. I liked the original model immensely, and even though I didn't know if I'd be called in for a new project, I instinctively imagined the result I could achieve. In the end, Kawasaki France placed their trust in me once again for this third collaboration.
the Kawasaki Z 900 RS is a reference to the legendary Z1 of the 70s, and I'm delighted to be able to add my own personal touch. I've tried to keep many of the original parts, such as the headlight, fork and dashboard, so there was a lot of harmonizing between the modifications and the original parts, and I hope the final result will please the public".
The entire project was completed in 6 months, a very short time given the workload involved, and the result is unbeatable. The Z900RS by MRS was presented at the Mondial de la moto in Paris - Porte de Versailles, and will now begin its tour with a first stop at the Milan Motor Show in early November.
