With a name that says it all before you even get started. Akrapovic. Two Slovenian mufflers set the tone, with the ever-popular attributes of weight loss (around 4 kilos) and a spoonful of extra power. Thus equipped, the Z needs nothing more than a safe, experienced rider. Because the Z, be it 1000, R or Performance, is a boiling hot machine with no sweetener. No traction control, no ride mode, no co-pilots. Only ABS is tolerated. With over 140 horsepower, you have to be a little careful when the pace increases. But the chassis allows you to be good, as long as you love it as it should be: a ballsy roadster that smells more of gunpowder than silicon.
