presentation of the Ninja 1000 SX Performance Tourer 2020
Here's a machine that combines quite a few cards under its fairing: road-going, fast, Sport-GT roadster, with a wanderlust and a renewed sense of sport! Kawasaki has put a pinch of everything in this Ninja 1000 SX with "Tourer" and "Performance" rigs.
Two packs in unison, to add to the SX's hp a dose of zeal and practicality. Whether the crew is off on a road trip or an evening out, the duo of suitcases will be much appreciated when it's time to stow the helmets, or to carry the folding barbecue on one side, and the boustifaille on the other. Each case can carry 28 liters of luggage. The bike's hips widen and fill out, but the integration has been carefully thought out.
Protection is essential for intensive use. This is developed on two levels here: a large, smoked bubble and heated grips to protect the rider from both air pressure and the bite of the cold - then various parts to preserve the bike, such as the pads on the engine sides and the gel adhesive to spare scratches on the tank.
Kawasaki has planned for the possibility of solo touring, with a seat cover to be fitted in place of the passenger seat. However, a companion will certainly be there on every trip: the GPS. A small plate between the half-guidelines will allow you to install the appropriate support.
Well , we've got just about everything we need to get going. With a slightly more saucy sound, it's even better. For some, not for all, even if vocals have always more or less accompanied the notion of a vehicle's strength. That's the job of the Akrapovic muffler. Made almost entirely of carbon, it better exposes the 4-cylinder's voice, removes 2.7 kg from the Ninja, adds a tiny but tiny bit of watts to the original 142 hp, and a spoonful more torque.

Simply because, officially, the luggage kit cannot be combined with a top case.
So , obviously, it's not going to be cheap. Expect to pay 2,700 francs for the whole package. Let's put it into perspective by taking the accessories individually... the extension would then top 3,000 euros.
Let's not forget that this bike (derived from the Z 1000) natively features a large aluminum perimeter frame, multi-adjustable suspension, 10.9 cm TFT screen, shifter, assisted clutch, traction control, several power modes, cruise control, intelligent ABS, Kawa cornering technology, IMU inertial unit, smartphone connection, bubble adjustment.. and, above all, a breath that blows like the wind.

Bikers' reviews Leave a review - 3 reviews
It's comfortable, well-equipped and easy to ride, despite its power. The only fault is that it's missing a central keel. 4000 km at present, so reliability will have to wait.... Rating : 4/5 Respond to Nono
I recommend it without hesitation for bikers looking for the flexibility of a 4-cylinder, the power when you want to have fun, and travel far in comfort.
