presentation of the 1190 RC8 R McWilliams limited Edition 2009
announced at the beginning of August 2009, the KTM factory is entering a 3rd RC8 R in the German superbike championship, the IDM. The talented rider will be Jeremy Mc Williams. To celebrate this alliance, the manufacturer is offering 100 units of an RC8 R Mc Williams Limited Edition.
the hypersport doesn't feature the official IDM deco, but instead a graphic design featuring the renowned exhaust manufacturer Akrapovic. Logically, just below the big Austrian twin is an Akra Evo 4 muffler... and that's not all. This special-series RC8 R is also equipped with the Club Race kit: new head gaskets, a different valve-opening diagram and optimized injection mapping boost performance to 180 hp, exactly on the level of a certain 1098 R. That's 10 more horsepower than the original RC8 R. Enough to tickle the machines made on the other side of the Alps.
