from 1999 to 2019W 650 / W 800 - Kawasaki's Bonneville.
kawasaki was one of the first to play on nostalgia and offer a retro machine. The W 650 was an instant hit with its Triumph Bonneville look. It is the descendant of the 1965 W1, itself influenced by the British bikes of the time (BSA, Norton and Triumph). Launched in 1999, the W 650 enjoyed a career spanning almost 10 years, before being ousted by anti-pollution standards.
after a few years, it returned to the scene, this time with an 800. The styling remains virtually unchanged, and the powertrain differs only in displacement. It will be on the market from 2011 to 2016, before falling asleep again.
kawa relaunches it in 2019, accompanied by Street and Café-racer variants. The price rises sharply, without the bike offering any additional equipment or special features. It's still in the catalog, with a new color every year.
