the Corona brand, also known as Corona-Werke, was founded in 1891. The company began by producing bicycles. Motorcycle production began in 1900, quickly followed by car manufacturing in 1901.
its full name was established in 1899: 'Corona Fahrzeugwerke und Metallindustrie AG, Brandenburg aH'. In the early years, Corona used Fafnir engines for its motorcycles. World War 1 brought production to a halt, but the brand relaunched itself in the 1920s. Developing its own engine, it perfected a 350 cm3 V-twin.
The motorcycle adventure came to an end in 1925. The company remained in business for some time until it went into liquidation in 1932.
corona employed up to 500 people. Very few motorcycles seem to have survived to the present day.
