The history of the brand

it all began a long time ago, in 1945.
The post-war scenario sees an Italy that travels mainly by bicycle.
The founder, Battista Polini, returning from the front, opens his small workshop and specializes in building bicycles.

very soon, the country rose with pride and, on the back of flourishing industrial development, Italian inspiration and creativity soon produced their first results. One in particular: the Vespa, design icon and, at the same time, symbol of recovery.
Times may change, but the philosophy and passion that drive the Polini family remain unchanged: the constant search for new solutions to guarantee ever-higher engine performance, with maximum safety and reliability.
It's also thanks to this commitment that Polini has become a world leader in the design and production of special parts for scooters and maxi scooters.

in the '90s, Polini embarked on a new project and began production of a series of minibikes.of minibikes, authentic miniature Grand Prix motorcycles, entirely "Made in Italy" and characterized by reliable and safe technical solutions. In the saddle of these little machines, some of MotoGP's greatest champions have taken their "first steps" on the track. In primis, Valentino Rossi.
In 1997, Polini introduced a new line of Minicross bikes with 2-stroke engines, which have accompanied the careers of many MXGP and MX2 champions since their beginnings
From 2009 onwards, Polini's production has been enriched by the Polini Thor brand, the most complete range of paramotors on the market, from 80cc to 250cc, designed to meet a wide range of flying requirements. A winning choice that has enabled the company to win numerous National and World Titles in the various specialties.

in September 2016, Polini presents its new challenge: the innovative E-P3 electric motor for E-Bikes. A new commitment dictated by a more sensitive attention to environmental matters and recent trends relating to an eco-friendly lifestyle.
From its small workshop in '45, Polini Motori has travelled far and wide.
Present in more than 64 countries around the world, Polini retains, today as then, its own headquarters in Alzano Lombardo (Bergamo).
