black Tea is one of a number of start-ups venturing into the burgeoning niche of electric motorcycles. Their creation, the Moped, seems a cross between an electric bike, a moped and a scrambler. It can go up to 80 km/h, but European legislation will impose a limit of 45 km/h. More than 18 mkg will be available, and the machine will go from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.2 seconds.
A claimed range of 70 km, a recharge time of 4 hours and a claimed weight of 79 kg make the Black Tea Moped an accessible, urban and somewhat mischievous machine. The 4,200-euro price tag is, however, rather muscular.
