presentation of the F4 1078 RR 312 2009

once again, MV-Agusta has put all its knowledge and expertise into its new machine. The beast also known as "the most beautiful motorcycle in the world" has a whole new look for 2008. Indeed, the MV F4 R 312 is even more powerful, more aggressive, and with better control of that power.
they've added another R for the F4, as well as on the R312, to differentiate these new versions from the old ones, as from now on they'll be fitted with a 1078cc engine. The latter retains its top speed, at the bottom of the sixth, 312 km/h!
there's just one goal for 2008: Improvement. A goal like this is customary for a company with almost 75 championship titles, success rooted in its soul. This year, the challenge is to make a traffic-certified machine that can go faster than a 747 on take-off. Like other challenges in the past, this new one once again required courage, willpower, passion, sacrifice, investment and the MV Team. The goal was simple: to create the best sports car in the world, and anything less would have been unthinkable. The 1078cc of the exclusive and much-loved F4 CC has been introduced in the new F4 RR 312. The engine's over-capacity offers both more torque and more power at high revs. This is due to a series of improvements to the engine, where such a thing was possible, the aim was simply to go beyond the limits imposed by the "standard" engine. The RR 312 is not a machine with limits or weak points, and that's why only the best components have been used.
the design of both the frame and the chassis has been carefully studied by the brand, retaining much the same handling and strength characteristics. Every component of the machine has been analyzed and refined to cope with the new power output of 190hp. An impressive figure, but the new engine prevents it from entering Superbike. However, the old F4 1000 will still be available for the track and will have all the mechanical upgrades made to the engine package (anti-dribble clutch, new gear ratios), as well as all the modifications made to the chassis (brakes, new suspension), and will be homologated for both FIM SuperStock and SuperBike.

The pride of the Italian designer.
the limits of design are for all products, and therefore all motorcycles, dictated by variations in parameters, influencing manufacturing technique and also cost. MV can overcome these limitations. Its main objective has always been to create beauty and perfection. Beauty must never be abandoned in the evolution of a product. In MV's view, it is the cornerstone on which they build their new models. Except perhaps for a stroke of genius, the realization of this philosophy calls for artists rather than engineers. In Italy in general, and at MV in particular, such a philosophy is possible. The F4 RR 312 is a perfect example of this, and adds to the pride the company has taken in the F4 ever since its inception. The secret of a long life is to prepare the "standard" sportsbikes better and to approach perfection. Every line and angle of the machine has been designed to visually create "special effects": finishing, light and shadow effects, involving all the senses with tailor-made components. The senses are accentuated by the new colors of this F4 RR 312. It is based on pearl white, anthracite black, blue, or traditional colors such as red. Details often make a piece stand out, which is why MV has devoted a great deal of time and effort to redoing the same thing. New elements have been added for 2008, including new optics and smoked screens for the F4 CC. Other aesthetic evolutions include stickers and graphics, not to mention changes to the dashboard, some of which are plastic-finished, while the shock absorber is now in red rather than yellow. The 4 flute-shaped exhausts have been retained, but are more inclined.

Equipment.
the success of this new F4 RR 312 lies to a large extent in the refinement of products and technology compared to the R 312, and includes the following elements:

MV-Agusta F4 1078 RR 312 2009 - 1MV-Agusta F4 1078 RR 312 2009 - 1
- new decals and colors.
- f4 CC smoked screen.
- small exhaust pipes.
- new suspension.
- f4 CC Sachs steering damper.
- brembo monobloc brakes.
- 1078cc engine.
- anti-dribble clutch.
- new gearbox with short ratios.

the end result is breathtaking, a complete package of Italian sporting art encapsulated in a single machine.

1078cc engine.
from MV's point of view, the engine is the key to both performance and handling. The reason is that when the power of an engine is called upon, the frame and suspension must withstand the stresses and respond with the utmost efficiency. Among the modifications made, an essential element is the increase in displacement from 996cc to 1078cc, by increasing the bore from 76 to 79mm. The cylinder head has been reworked to meet new specifications and functionalities, adding 10mm of rounded length. More power output, but this affects the linearity of the 4 cylinders. This is how the engineers worked and succeeded in obtaining the most powerful engine in the Hypersport range. Despite the considerable increase in volume, the engine retains its engine speed and now offers even more torque: 124 Nm at 8200 rpm (12.65 mkg). A lower maximum rpm than the previous F4. The power output of the F4 RR 312 seems almost innocent, but it's actually a gain, and a new 190hp power output equips this new sports car. As far as gear ratios are concerned, the first three ratios are longer, which spreads out the power output a little more at high revs and also increases acceleration. The first gear revs up to 140km/h, the second to almost 180km/h, and the third pushes you to almost 210, all with an infernal, demonic roar. The second very important development on this new F4 is the anti-dribble clutch, which does not replace the EBS (Engine Brake System), but runs in parallel, to ensure the best possible driver enjoyment. This is a mechanical anti-dribble system with ramps and roller bearings. The result is that you can drop gears without cutting the throttle, and the rear wheel doesn't lock up during deceleration. The system is progressive, allowing you to take the best possible trajectories in corners. As it's very easy to use, it increases the rider's feeling for the machine, and reduces braking times. When the machine is really in demand, the rider is more efficient on both track and road, almost without realizing it.

A unique frame.
anyone who has raced an MV-Agusta knows that the frame and engine performance are the real strengths of the F4. The geometry, specifications and robustness are responsible for the feeling of stability that comes from transmitting all the power of the bike to the track. The manufacturer decided to combine these three elements in its choice of materials, resulting in a chrome-molybdenum tubular steel frame. The big job for the Varese engineers was to try and improve what was already perfect, the balance of a machine that was already beyond perfection. The performance of this frame had already more than satisfied the riders, who were able to make the difference when braking and cornering. The diversity of riding styles makes no difference, whether you're gentle or aggressive, either way, the frame is perfect. The rear swingarm is still the same, nothing has changed. In fact, it's even more efficient in the face of the new engine's power.

Suspension with new sport calibration.
those who are used to working in the racing world know that sophistication is at the heart of "extreme" production, so nothing should be overlooked or left to chance. Even the smallest detail can influence the overall change and balance of the machine. This means working very meticulously, where perfection counts as much as intuition. That's why the F4 RR 312 has now updated its suspension calibration. The search for perfect balance led engineers to equip the new F4 with forks and a monoblock shock absorber to cope with this power. The components are the same as on the R 312: 50mm Marzocchi front forks and a Sachs monoblock rear shock absorber, and a steering damper identical to that on the F4 CC. The carbon-nitride-treated forks, apart from their aggressiveness, are in original colors, and are there to improve sinking characteristics. The stroke has been increased by 1mm to 130mm. MV-Agusta F4 1078 RR 312 2009To emphasize the stroke, the monoblock is fitted with a hydraulic pre-load adjustment that can be quickly and easily reset using an allen key. Hydraulic compression is adjusted to within 2 grams, one for high speed, the other for low. This improves rear handling under high compression and when driving on deformed surfaces.

Brembo monobloc brakes.
brembo racing brakes are fitted as standard on the F4 RR 312. This system is an exact copy of the one used during Superbike races. Two 320 x 5 mm discs are mounted at the front, with a single-piece monoblock radial caliper housing 4 pistons and 4 pads. The only difference with "official" Brembo racing brakes is the second protective cover fitted to the pistons on the F4 RR 312. This reduces wear on the brakes, which will certainly not be serviced as often as those intended for the track.

in conclusion, here's another magnificent jewel that MV is about to release, to the delight of the lucky and wealthy motorcyclist. It goes without saying that this machine will not be priced like its competitors. But exception is priceless.

bonjour c'est une moto magnifique j'en ai acheté une par contre j'en suis à la cinqieme pannes en trois mois par rapport à l'achat donc une grave immobilise 45 jours (joint spy de boite) et la autre qui vient de m'arrive clutch H.S clutch and a very worrying noise coming from the clutch housing, so I have to wait 1 month for repairs + if there are parts to order, I'm not even telling you about it. I might have it for this summer, but I didn't tell you it has 1400 kms.i've reported all these problems to the factory and not even a small gesture of compensation has been forthcoming. They're sorry and so am I. I'm already on my fifth mv, bought new, and I only keep them a few times, precisely because I don't know what's happening to me at the moment, but I didn't think it was worth getting rid of them the day I bought them.
