presentation of the Brutale 1090 Corsa 2015
sultry and racy though they may be, the MV-Agusta Brutales have never before enjoyed Swedish nobility when it comes to suspension. Of course, Marzocchi and Sachs certainly don't deserve to be pilloried, but you've got to admit that the Öhlins stamp that equips the Brutale 1090 in this Corsa version really packs a punch.
the spearhead of the Brutale range, the 1090 Corsa is judiciously equipped with a 43 mm diameter, fully adjustable NIX fork, while the shock absorber remains a Sachs unit. Why didn't the manufacturer opt for a full set of Öhlins suspension lines? A touch of disappointment for a roadster that tends towards the exceptional.
this Brutale Corsa is not only distinguished by its front end, which is even sportier and more efficient. The cosmetics are also shimmering. These include a hand-stitched seat with red stitching, a superb two-tone red and white dress, a trellis frame painted gloss black, lighter forged wheels and Race ABS as standard. Levers, footrests and fuel filler cap are finished in aluminum gray. To assert its racing affiliation, "MV Agusta Corse" logos appear on the mudguard and plate holder, all in carbon.
produced in limited series, the Corsa galvanizes the RR version, from which it takes the essentials. There's as much to enjoy as there is to fear: a big 4-cylinder with 158 hp and over 10 mkg, Brembo monobloc brakes from the F4 sports bike, typically Italian character and design, and a claimed 265 km/h. The beast costs 3,000 euros more than the 1090 RR. An increase that's hard to justify.
