presentation of the 800 Turismo Veloce Rosso 2020
with the birth of the Turismo Veloce, MV-Agusta took its crossover turn. The TV 800 is a blend of a bit of trail, a lot of roadster and the brand's sporting temperament. It's also not exactly a cheap model. But by integrating it into the Rosso range, the manufacturer has lowered its price. But at what price? (literally AND figuratively)
Firstly, by limiting the choice of colors: there's only one. A dress of black that invades everything, from plastics to metal, topped by a blood-red cape. Next, the manufacturing processes have been reviewed.
Not quite enough to explain the 3,000 euros less than the previous version. The factory must have taken the opportunity to reposition the bike to compete with the 900 Tracer GT and F 900 XR.
The Rosso suffix does not entail any technical modifications. Fans or those curious about the model will find everything that makes the Turismo Veloce so charming. Let's take a look at it from start to finish.
Slender, taut curves, an eye for beauty, the effects of sportiness transpiring from the arteries, restrained size and palpable tension, the Turismo Veloce is indeed an MV. A racy, graceful blend that provokes curiosity after congratulations. An F3-inspired snout sets the first note of a score between sport and touring. Note the superb design of the rear, with a passenger seat that appears to be half-suspension. Fall in love with the sloping chevrons delineating the slender taillights. The Turismo Veloce may be a trail bike, but it's also the most desirable. The dashboard alone makes you want to spend hours on the handlebars. A 5-inch TFT color screen, magnificent, ultra-complete - even though the competition has caught up, it retains an indefectible charm.

The norm in the trail-GT segment is a big twin, preferably 1200 cc. Instead, MV has opted for a boiling-hot powertrain already christened in its sporty F3, its mid-size Brutale roadster and the audacious Rivale. Thus, the super-compact 3-cylinder engine is installed in the Turisme Veloce, in its 800 size. Fiery and furious, the 3-legged engine is calibrated to produce 110 hp max at 10,150 rpm. Torque is rated at 8.2 mkg perched at 7,100 rpm. It smells of a nervous trail, more tempted to excite your back than the purr of a GT.
A number of improvements have been made for the Euro4 upgrade. The injection system has been redesigned, and several technical parts of the engine have been revised or new: cylinder head, valve guides, timing belt tensioner, gearbox gears, starter, balance shaft and frame mountings.
Technical enthusiasts will appreciate the advanced electronics, as the 800 Turismo Veloce houses the MVICS 2.0 platform. Behind this code name lies a host of driving aids. Three driving modes (Touring, Sport, Rain) + a customizable one - the parameterization possibilities are worthy of a Gran Turismo game. Throttle sensitivity, traction control, torque curve, power, engine braking and mill liveliness can be set to a defined number of levels. The bike is also equipped with an anti-wheeling system, cruise control and the second-generation EAS shifter. This allows you to shift up and down without touching the clutch. Shall we conclude this silicon chapter with standard ABS and on-board Bluetooth? Yes, unless you opt for the Lusso version, enhanced with semi-active suspension and GPS.

At 191 kilos, the Turismo Veloce's delicate size is also reflected in its weight. Its fuel tank, with a capacity of 20 liters, looks set to take you to the next level.
You'll find a different, more upscale taste in trail riding with this machine from Varese. The outfit is appealing, the body is sporty and the engine smells of gunpowder. Clearly inclined to winding roads with velocity, the machine expresses its Italian ardor more than its pretension to "country" between roads, paths and fir trees. This MV-Agusta seems to live up to its name.

With its intoxicating-sounding mechanics and crazy shifter, it's addictive to ride it and admire its aesthetic details once you've reached your destination... for those who speak badly, I've always managed to get there in 6000 km! Fingers crossed :)) And if you're not sure about the Yam Tracer9, here's a tip - try them both! Rating : 5/5 Respond to MV convaincu
And just to see the admiring looks on people's faces says it all!
Bonne route à tous/tes Rating : 5/5 Respond to Zanzi
A magnificent bike, it just needs the standard panniers and heated grips to really compete with the Tracer GT. And a center stand Rating : 5/5 Respond to invité
Very good bike with superb lines, surely the most beautiful bike in its category. No particular problems apart from the fuel gauge, which broke down after 3 years
With this new price tag, it should reach a wider customer base
Bravo to Mv for reacting to the competition in terms of pricing Rating : 4/5 Respond to Joub69
