Special series ? You can't say that when you're talking about just one model. We call it an ultra-limited series or a creative exercise. Such is the case with this MV-Agusta Dragster London Special. A colorful celebration of the opening of a new MV dealership in London, on Sloane Street.
Starting with a Dragster 800 RR SCS, the MV Agusta London Design studio worked with the Varese factory to create a roadster totally dedicated to the UK. The tank and radiator scoops are clad in Union Jack, while the spoked wheels take on the main colors of the flag. A fine job, with a strong symbolism on the sides of the tank. A fresco depicting London and its iconic buildings: Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye Ferris wheel, The Shard and The Gherkin skyscrapers, and other icons.
The workshop also set about refining and lightening the Italian roadster. Thanks to the use of a large number of carbon parts and lightened components, it boasts a dry weight of just 145 kilos. With the 3-cylinder engine boosted to 145 hp, the ratio is a superb 1:1. Worthy of a hypersport.
There's also a leather and alcantara seat with red stitching, a titanium exhaust system and special brake discs.
This Dragster is not only remarkable for its design, but also for its driving. In addition to its spirited engine and meticulous chassis, the machine's mechano-automatic clutch and shifter make it easy to forget about the left-hand lever. Almost like a hooligan on the streets of London.
