presentation of the GSX 750 1998

it's a beautiful sunny morning in August, the thermometer reads athe thermometer shows a timid 19°C and the day promises to be warm, and this morning I'm keen to hit the asphalt with my trusty steed.
I get my mount out of the garage, grab the gear and switch on the ignition, the engine revs up nicely and I let the machine warm up while I get my gear on.

by the way, I haven't introduced you to the lady who's going to accompany me on this ride. It's a Suzuki GSX 750 Inazuma, and it's been sharing my motorcycling life for a year and a little over 10,000 kilometers, but let's go into a little more detail: engine-wise, it's a 750 cm3 four-cylinder developing 85 HP, air-cooled and oil-cooled from the older GSX-R generations.the brakes are twin 300mm front discs with two-piston calipers, and a single 240mm disc with two-piston calipers at the rear, all weighing in at a hefty 222kg.

but let's get back to our bikes: the biker is now equipped, so let's get going. The riding position is pleasant, the seat very comfortable for both rider and passenger, and the controls well placed, although a little wider handlebars wouldn't have been superfluous. We take it easy, just to get the mechanics and I into shape. In any case, we're in built-up areas, so this short urban trip gives me a chance to judge the beast's ability to get out of the way of queues of gearboxes. My first observation is that the machine's weight is clearly noticeable when maneuvering from a standstill or at low speed. Once underway, however, the weight is forgotten, and the bike proves extremely stable (thanks to the 120/60/17 and 170/60/17 tires). That's it, we're out of town and heading for a small winding road through the marshes, but first we have to take the four-lane road, which will give us a chance to see what the boiler can do. From 0 to 4000rpm, the engine is hollow, not to say anemic. From 4000 to 6000rpm, it wakes up to give its all from 6000 to 11000rpm (red zone at 11500 and breaker at 12500). You shouldn't expect a thunderbolt, as we're not playing in the same league as the Hornet and FZ6, but rather in the bandit's league, but the mill's sympathetic reach already gives you a good feeling. In corners, the bike is stable, and the fork and rear suspension are of good quality, smoothing out any imperfections in the road surface, but its 220 kilos quickly call you to order during tight turns. Braking is very good, easy to modulate and progressive.

Suzuki GSX 750 1998 - 1Suzuki GSX 750 1998 - 1

This bike can take you a long way, and while it's not as turbulent as its siblings, it's as comfortable as its big sisters (1300 CB, 1300XJR, 1400 GSX). What's more, it consumes very little fuel (around 6.5 liters per hundred) and consumables. I'd just have liked a slightly more aggressive engine and a standard rear tire (the original fitment is very expensive, costing 160 euros per tire).

a super machine I've had for a year. Torque galore, no need to play with the gearbox without stopping and very playful above 7000. Super comfort alone and in duo (SHOWA shock absorber) and compared to a bandit that you see on every street corner, there's no photo.... Rating : 5/5

First motorcycle, bought second-hand from a brand garage. 24000Km, after two or three weeks, it's well in hand. Pleasant in the city and efficient on the freeway
Having learned on the FZ6 2004) I appreciate its cool but torquey side

Small peak at 220 km/h, but hey... no bubble: head in the handlebars!

French jiminidur Model 1997
I bought this bike for my girlfriend, who is a young licence holder. It's very easy to handle, just a little heavier than the cb500 from my school bike, a little more powerful but nothing to worry about, and very fuel-efficient (the fuel gauge is a plus). What's more, I find it very pleasant to ride around town, and much easier to handle than my varadero, so I borrow it whenever I can. Rating : 5/5
French fleeed Model 1997
hello,
that's a good summary, far from the sirens of the pseudo sports roadsters, the GSX inazuma is the "Italian" bike, a quiet ride, with the passenger sitting on a real seat, not a piece of wood... fun!
"no power at the bottom of the revs"? you might want to rethink that phrase... torque and acceleration, that's what characterizes the inazuma, and while its handling isn't "racy", it "winds up" much more smoothly than the 600s in the same segment
sure, you won't catch the eye as much as a baby yellow hornet at a stoplight, and you don't yet have the class of a triumph..
but both are looted on the sidewalks while you're at the movies..
while my ina sits quietly waiting for me, and the discerning eye discovers a very good machine, not "painted up" but very efficient and visually sober, something that is lost on motorcycles..

what's more, it's an excellent second-hand bargain, with no particular problems to report apart from a temperamental fuel tap (changed on mine), the engine is puncture-proof and tried and tested, and everything on this machine is slightly oversized so nothing really wears out
as it's a machine preferred by "relaxed riders", the second-hand bikes are often very nice and well-maintained..

Bought new in September 2002, and already 34,000km on the odometer. pure happiness, not vicious, economical, a different look. In summer, I put on a windshield and a pair of panniers to go on vacation (for 2), and in winter I take everything off, just for the pleasure of a slightly retro roadster. Fuel consumption 5 to 6L / 100km at 110/130. No mechanical problems. The bike as I like it. If I change, it'll be for a BM or nothing! Rating : 5/5
French Laurent Model 1997
I bought this bike 2 months ago and it's a real pleasure to ride. Supple and powerful just as it should be. It's smooth up to 5,000 rpm and then suddenly wakes up and becomes very playful while remaining very safe. A true joy Rating : 5/5
