presentation of the GSX-S 1000 Team Suzuki 2018

In the Suzuki family, I'd like to see the big hitter. The GSX-R 1000? No way! I didn't say ground-to-ground missile... Then maybe only the GSX-S 1000. With an engine and chassis derived from the famous hypersport, this big streetfighter delivers slaps in the face. Perhaps it lacks a little charisma to make its mark in the den of big fighters...

the special Team Suzuki edition should put a little sparkle into all that. A distinctive livery in two colors to appeal to two almost distinct trends. A red version to capture the racing side that bubbles up in every big roadster enthusiast - a blue version to electrify the side with a touch of elegance likely to seduce high-displacement enthusiasts. Suzuki has let loose with the stickers, but the work doesn't seem as convincing as a thorough exercise in deco. Clearly eye-catching, but still lightweight. When it comes to special parts, this GSX-S isn't overflowing with them, but there's still a choice piece.

the Akrapovic titanium silencer with carbon end cap. More noble, more vocal than the original, it also shaves 1,200 grams off the bike's weight. There's also an aluminum plate holder at the stern.
But Hamamatsu doesn't just deliver a red- or blue-spangled motorcycle. Each one comes with a numbered plate on the tank.
The extra cost compared to the standard GSX-S 1000 is reasonable. The price advantage, when compared with the individual components, comes to over 700 euros.

that's enough to make you stand out from the crowd behind the handlebars of this explosive roadster, shamelessly sending 150 hp and almost 11 mkg into the arms of the crew. Correctly equipped with electronics, but no more than that, the skinny GSX-S makes do with traction control and ABS. Quite sufficient for everyday, sporty use. Those with a taste for technology will regret the absence of riding modes, a shifter, ABS cornering and a TFT screen. For the next version? In the meantime, the special editions(Evo, Team Suzuki, Yoshimura, Titanium...) are sure to whet your appetite.
