presentation of the GSX 1300 R Hayabusa Yoshimura SERT Motul Replica 2022
Suzuki has given Sylvain Guintoli, one of the few French riders to have shone in MotoGP, World Superbike and Endurance EWC, a wonderful present. It's a beautiful and unique 1300 Hayabusa, fully decked out in the SERT Yoshimura team colors. The rocket looks even more demonic, impatient for all the luxuries of speed.
It's a welcome change from the ubiquitous MotoGP replica deco, which is widely distributed on the brand's sports bikes. Here, red (the Yoshimura color) dominates, pincering an imposing gangue. All that's left of the official S.E.R.T blue are a few lines.
The team's main sponsors are present: Motul lubricants, Bridgestone tires, Denso parts, PIAA lighting, Yosh exhausts - it's a pity the latter isn't more "physically" present, with a good full line to free up the big 4-cylinder.
Although the mimicry with the GSX-R 1000 EWC is very successful, this bike wasn't designed to burn time. It's more of a gift, as Sylvain has a certain fondness for the Hayabusa. With this gesture, Suzuki expresses its gratitude for the tremendous work accomplished by its rider . He won the Bol d'Or, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and a World Endurance title with Suz, played a major role in the development of the GSX-RR for MotoGP, and completed a few laps of the circuit with this GSX 1300 R during the presentation day at Donington Park.
Let's hope that the Hamamatsu-based firm doesn't leave it at that, and offers this set-up as a special series in the near future. Equipped with two mufflers from "Pops" Yoshimura and a "Guintoli" signature or those of all SERT riders on the tank, it would be a real highlight.
With the 3rd-generation "Peregrine Falcon", the rider will have at his disposal a big, heavy missile with 190 hp and over 15 mkg. A torquey 1340 cm3. The overall layout remains true to its origins, with a large, double-spar aluminum frame, reinforced swingarm, 43 mm inverted fork and now driving aids everywhere. 6 riding modes (3 preset and 3 personal), 3 power modes, traction control, inertial unit, shifter, speed limiter and regulator, launch control, anti-wheeling, engine brake control, anti-stoppie, ABS, small TFT display, Low RPM Assist and Easy Start System
