Motorcycle specifications Triumph1200 Bonneville T 120 Icon Edition 2025 The past has never been so present
presentation of the 1200 Bonneville T 120 Icon Edition 2025
Perhaps nowhere in the Triumph range is a piece of memorabilia better displayed than on the Bonneville. 900 or 1200? Both! Each finds its counterpart in the special 2025 collection, dubbed the "Icon Edition". Every year since 2022, the manufacturer has offered a selection of models inducted into a particular theme.
For 2025, Triumph returns (again) to its past with an interesting choice of calligraphy. Its 1907 (to 1914) logo comes to life on this Bonnie. An expert hand places this stamp on each side of the tank, then draws gold edgings. These delineate the areas covered in a silver-grey color, a touch of contrast with the surrounding black. The aluminum-silver finish blends remarkably well with the patina of the crankcases and false carburetors.
A final touch: an Icon logo at the base of the fuel tank in a large grey tongue.
The Bonneville T 120 has always been a noble-looking motorcycle; here it gains a more pronounced expression. We've seen bolder bikes in previous collections, but exuberance seems to be on the wane with Hinckley's Modern Classic.
A less marked calm in the engine. Full-bodied, available and almost boxer-like in its acceleration, the 1200 twin gives the Bonneville great wings, and above all a temperament that matches its plasticity perfectly. 80 Leicestershire-style thrills, almost 11 mkg of torque, an eternal allure and a dose of contemporary electronics. Beneath the early 20th-century logo, you'll find cruise control, ride-by-wire, two driving modes, a USB port, ABS, disconnectable traction control... but fortunately, there's little digital on the dashboard. The essentials are saved with two needle dials. So British!

The 1200 Bonneville T 120 Icon Edition costs 800 euros more than the standard Bonnie. What's more, it's available for a limited time only. If you don't already know what the leitmotif of this type of collection is (Gold Line, Chrome, and Stealth), it's not a question of a limited number of examples, but of a period: one year's presence, no more. After that, it will be another distinguished illustration.
