presentation of the 900 THUNDERBIRD Sport 2000
triumph is synonymous with fond memories of the seventies. Its Thunderbird Sport, retro in form - modern in content, has what it takes to move the hearts of nostalgic fans of small British cars, as well as lovers of roadsters with a sporty-retro design.
with its flattering appearance, elegant lines, quality finish and eye-catching details (such as the megaphone-style exhaust and the screwed-in fuel cap), the T-bird takes care of its image. And its performance, because the British car doesn't just rely on its looks to seduce. Its 3-cylinder engine boasts enthusiastic behavior and good torque distribution. 13 hp more powerful than the standard T-bird, it also benefits from a 6-speed gearbox instead of 5. Its lively engine is enhanced by a short gear ratio. Better equipped in terms of engine and transmission, the Sport also benefits from a longer swingarm, a 17-inch front wheel, 2 front brake discs instead of one, and fully adjustable damping (rebound, compression, preload) front and rear. All these features give the Thunderbird S a pleasant performance. On the other hand, the machine is a little tricky to handle. Not exactly light and with its heavy steering, the bike is no ballerina. On the road, you can rely on its powerful braking and healthy handling... as long as the asphalt is generous. As you can see, handling deteriorates as the tarmac deteriorates. Comfort also suffers, as a result of the firmness of the rear damping, a seat that's too thin and anecdotal protection on the freeway. In 2000, the T-bird S loses its superb vintage twin tailpipes. What a shame...

The engine is just fantastic from low to high revs, with no vibrations. It's always a pleasure to ride. The only downside is the high weight and ridiculous turning radius.
Rating : 5/5 Respond to Chabert
i had the chain kit changed (chain ring and gearbox output sprocket) Since then I hear a whistling sound that increases when accelerating and decreases when slowing down The mechanic tells me it's normal (noise of the chain turning ......) Except that it didn't do it before ..... It's because it was worn out he tells me ...
If anyone could give me their opinion.....Thanks Rating : 5/5 Respond to bob
